I just redownloaded Splitgate last week since I was craving that seventh gen arena shooter vibe. This game is brutally underrated.

Hope this game shatters the garbage that is released by the AAA industry.

Split gate feels so good. It's super fun without being super deep in it's meta.

Absolutely ecstatic about the new game coming. I only got to experience the tail end of one. But it's the most halo-esque feeling game I've played in a long time. I hope the sequel gains some traction, would love to see what the team can do with long term support.

Splitgate was so good. The gunplay felt great, and I wish Infinite had felt more like it! Can't wait to see what's next

Splitgate was fun especially when you get good at portaling. Though it's worth noting if youre on controller you really need back buttons or paddles in order to use the portals properly, at least for bumper jumper users. But man, I played it for a couple of days and put my halo skills to use. Played the team doubles playlist and was getting called a hacker against some mouse and keyboard players. A lot of fun

splitgate 2 and xdefiant coming out within a year or so of each other would make lil 14 year old me cry. so much time spent on gamebattles/mlg/8s in cod and halo

I didnt play videogames much from high school till now but in my senior year of college I found splitgate and it is in my top 5 all time games. I came at the perfect time for splitgate 2 it seems

I think you're really right about the halo player base being interested in this. Me and my brother are big halo fans and we actually really got into splitgate because it was so similar to halo, but with its own unique twist. I mostly play halo now, but if a new refreshed splitgate game came out I would def play it.

I had a fantastic time with Splitgate in 2021. Dropped it after a while, but I always do with shooters. Just got reminded of this masterpiece though and went to check out how the game does, and I'm so glad they are doing the next thing. Gl 1047!

I hope they're able to fix the floaty movement and make it snappy like in Halo Infinite. Sometimes when trying to go through a portal on the floor, the character would get stuck circling the edge like a golf ball refusing to go in the hole. 2:10 that's the current portal pad, or at least the version that I saw when I last played it. Pro tip: you can use the comma (,) and period (.) keys to go back or forward by 1 frame. Very useful when you're trying to find a specific moment in KZfaq videos.

Loved splitgate, but the character skins and menu UI looked cheap, always thought a sequel would be awesome

I had more fun in Splitgate than Halo Infinite

The few times I tried it, Splitgate really wasn't for me. I think a lot of the marketing comparing the game to Halo hurt it a bit. People have different expectations when they hear the game compared to Halo, and for me, sandbox aside it doesn't really feel like Halo. The game's movement is too twitchy and frantic, everybody has sprint and jetpacks by default, absolutely no vehicle play, physics interactions are very limited outside of using portals to launch yourself across the map, etc. Splitgate is good in it's own right, but it's not a replacement or competition for Halo. If they want to lean more into feeling closer to Halo with the sequel, I'd be down, but they'll probably try to lean more into what makes Splitgate unique, which is fine too.

I personally think they quit to fully work on the second game way too early but im glad they're actually putting effort into the sequel.

I got big into Splitgate for the 6 months or so before Halo Infinite released. The gameplay was brilliant. I would 100% show up again for whatever new they have cooking.

I wish this game was more popular had to completely give up on playing ranked was just taking far too long to find a game sitting in the waiting area for like 30-40 mins or so just to end up giving up. The worst is when it load's a match only to say there is not enough players and send me back to the waiting area.

Split gate is definitely under rated. I only played for a couple weeks and ended up matching against Tim the tat man 😂

i hope this game features some pve. As much as I love games like splitgate, the finals, hell even halo 5, it just seems impossible these days to have a successful fast paced arena shooter with a high skill gap. Players just continue to gravitate towards low ttk, slow paced games with small skill gaps leaving games like these in the dust. Id like there to be some aspect of the game to be immortalized and replayable.

I wanted to keep playing but once I knew they were done I gave up on the game, felt like it was a betrayal almost.

The portal walls look way too detailed. I like the solid walls of portal that contrast with the crazy wormhole tech. These walls themselves look like crazy wormhole tech. Way too much. They look neat though!

I'm thinking they'll do something like Blizzard did with Overwatch and release "Splitgate 2" but its really just like splitgate 2.0, and everything just moves over into the new version in UE5.

I dont know why people say its full of bots, i dont think ive ever come across any, the only thing i dont like is the advantage PC players have pointing from one direction to another in a fraction of a second while console players take more time x.x

NGL, I loved Splitgate and played it daily and then completely forgot about it…. All my friends had quit and at the time, it was rampant with aimbotters on pc. I hope this game comes out soon and has a better anti cheat system.

Hopefully it has some damn Ocieana and asian servers this time. I got into the top 15 and because it based off rank, i was forced to play in NA with 150-300 ping. Became unplayable, loved the game. but please I hope for better servers/matchmaking.

It's just a shame how dead the game is on steam. I wanted to go back to it a few months back but I saw it had less than 500 players.
