8 ай бұрын

BBQ shack build is a video I have been asked a lot of times to produce. People asking how did i do it, what was the process, how much did it cost.
Now you can see how long it took to buil this BBQ shack, what issues arose while building it and the final costs so far.
As always, cheers for watching

Nice build, my BBQ shack started with pallets and grew from there from scrap wood I would collect from work. I did nothing right, but it works and looks decent. Cheers brother

If you want great BBQ.....you must be willing to pay the price. Being able to Build your Environment Control Space is Crucial to Great BBQ. My Dad got me swinging hammers and sawing wood when I was 11, so we never needed outside help, until we learned Crown Molding when I was 15. I can frame, hang Drywall( on Wall AND Ceiling) Jamb Doors and Windows, Pour Cement ( my Neighbor was a Concrete Contractor, who used me in Summers, when he took on too many jobs.And dig holes and build a Straight Fence. With all of that.....the goal at the end of the build should be Great BbQ, so good on ya mate... I appreciate your " shack". Just curious though,..... The one Construction Rubicon I have not crossed is Electricity.....how did you solve that, once your walls went up? I can hang outlets and run wire.....but I stall out at breaker boxes and bring in a Pro . PS....you fear Painting! C' mon man .....staining , shellac, urethane, paint.....and Repaint autos! Your youth was misspent... Did it all before I got out of High School!

Thanks @rileyjackfansmithandjones8238 I ran conduit everywhere that I knew I needed power while building and even some places I didnt, best to have it there just in case. The Sparky (Electrician) came in and wired up everything to the house, as this is built straight off my alfresco area.

@@SchueysBBQ exactly how I get it done here in the States......my Electrician guy doesn't know Jack about keeping engines running, so I fix his Rig, and he hooks up my panel, when I need more power out in the garage, or a circuit shuts down because of my wife's hair dryer!🙄

Also, love the Wood Storing Boxes, but wondering if you'd be open to a PostCard thing, that fans could send, and you would have a dedicated space for them.....EVERYBODY does Electronic computer stuff....but the Rough and Rusty Metal Panels speak to a time gone by.... Postcards might be a Thing!

@SchueysBBQ
@SchueysBBQ 8 ай бұрын
Thanks @jasonhissey1714 there are two large side openings that allow plenty of ventilation into the area. They are roughly 2m (6'7") wide

Don't deck the floor! Apart from timber being flammable, it's terrible for maintenance and so much crap falls between the boards - which on a concrete base will eventually fill up and be visible in the board gaps. I'd definitely pave even though it's more expensive. A shiny slate pave will be easier for cleaning up greasy mess too.

@SchueysBBQ

Thanks @damo6168 I'm more thinking of decking and having a dropped down area where I cook and laying pavers in that. I do love the look of timer and maintenace wouldn't bother me but still, lookig at all options before I jump into it.

@SchueysBBQ

Thanks @garrybailey5413 entire space is 5m (16.4') x 9m (29.5'), the part I built is actually 5m (16.4') x 6m (19.6'). I don't use an offset yet, I have used offsets though. I plan on building another area with more ventilation for offset videos.
