Well I'm glad it could help you! It's a bit outdated with the class reboots. But the base is still there to learn from. Only real important thing with the reboot is the new options for nocturne. Mainly the new option to press A or D and float or do higher damage. Hope you have fun with the class!

Welcome back! But yeah sorry since succession cant really be used until lvl 58-59 (which is super easy to get now). The guide is designed for people around that game stage. Hopefully when you unlock succession this helps you :).

The damage is quite high. However its unprotected. So its situational.

Nah using a controller makes things so much harder for bdo. I get console players coming to me all the time saying they can't do this or can't do that cuz they use a controller. Just learn the skill inputs one by one. Do some pve with them and get the muscle memory ingrained in your hands. Then start to practice the pvp combos. Or just practice the combos slowly on a dummy in battle arena. Slowly speed it up till your faster at it.

Theres no AP requirement for succession. Its more skill points. To fully spec into succession it takes about 1850 skill points. To start specing into it I recommend around 1500 skill points

Its best to use the skill key combos. But some are mandatory quick slots, such as lunacy of vedir, spirit legacy, nocturne. Then some are preference, shadow strike I like on quick slot as well as wheel of fortune quick slot is a relic from the awakening DK that Im just used to and allows me to take my weapons out by using the skill and not auto-attacking.

Minimum to get into succ is about 1500 SP. Awakening still remains the best grinder for lower end spots like pollys and nagas for example

In dark knights current state, its a very strong class in 1v1s and small to medium scale nodewars. The 18% movement speed while running with your mainhand out is just a small quality of life buff. Currently dk succession doesn't really need a buff of any kind.

@@scarrundir3150 I see thank for your input, I learned 2 things in this guide, 1 was blinking after Lunacy never did that before, 2 was unsure, but what I do is Wheel + F + pervasive + slanted + S (RMB), you skipped slanted why btw?

@@looots1320 That combo works for sure. And I absolutely didn't touch on every single combo succ can use. Its meant to be a base guide to help new players get a combo started and then learn to use the situation to be able to create combos on the fly, based on cooldowns and whether they need to be protected or not. Personally I wouldn't use that combo in a 1v1. I would actually switch up the order since I have +3% accuracy addon on my slanted. I would wheel, slanted, pervasive, (S+RMB) enforcement and then use lunacy and spirit legacy. Slanted would give the most damage with the wheel float due to air attacks and apply a 3% accuracy buff to the combo. pervasive for the debuff, enforcement big damage and CC number 2 and then lunacy/legacy to finish them off. But again, everything is situational. Use the combo you have available based on cooldowns, range of the target and whether or not someone is gunna smack you in the back.

@@scarrundir3150 good point, usually when I catched someone on wheel, then slanted (not same time) pervasive, enforcement.. enemy seems able to escape my lunacy. also im not sure how the max cc works, they say only 2 cc then immunity, but for how long?

@@looots1320 yeah I could imagine they would get up before lunacy. Basically after a float you have time for about 2 large skills. Lunacy and legacy. Ravage rake/ravage rake flow and lunacy. Whatever pair you choose, usually only time for two and maybe a quick pervasive or twilight dash at the end. As for cc limits. Bound, knockdown and float count for 1 towards the cap of 2. Stiff counts for 0.7. So you can float and stiff for 1.7 and then knockdown for 2.7 and all the cc's will land. As for how long they are immune. It is only for a few seconds after the combo. So you can cc them again very quickly

Cast speed doesn't effect DK. So just get rid of that entirely if you can. DK is only effected by attack speed. Then having addons that give attack speed is huge. Here is an example of addons that I use imgur.com/a/JxAIwq0 . Some are redundant however I'd rather just ensure I always have an attack speed buff up. Keep in mind, for addons to activate, a target must be hit with the skill with the addon. On top of that unveiled dagger has a 10% attack speed buff that stacks with addons and doesnt require a target to be hit. So you can just weave unveiled dagger into your movement skills and keep a 10% attack speed buff

I play awakening for pve as I find it easier, more enjoyable and better for damage. However I'd rate it as like a 8-8.5. Its hard beat end game grinding classes like succ witch/wiz, succ striker and succ valk. They buffed awakening pve a bunch a few months ago and its quite good now.

Yeah for sure. If you are looking for a basic pure awakening combo it would be: Seed of catastrophe - spirit hunt - spirit blaze - spirit legacy - Shattering darkness (no flow) - twilight dash. inputs would be: shift+E - W+RMB - S+RMB - shift+rmb - shift+lmb - F. Its just a perk of successions prime: Nocturne. You don't have to button map it. Just tap rmb during twilight dash, lunacy of vedir and kama slash

They are fairly equal in pve, as awakening got a pve buff a few months ago. In pvp they are both decent at different jobs however successions damage in pvp is significantly higher. There was also some buffs teased for awakening on the test server, giving a float CC back to seed of catastrophe. So that would be exciting to try out.

Rabam skills aren't exclusive to succession so I didnt really include them in this. However shadow strike is useful for range poke damage and comboing people with high evasion with its high accuracy modifier. However shadow strikes damage isnt amazing. And the other rabam is terrible and just used as an extra super armor.

Assuming you mean dashing without gaps which just doesn't happen. You will be caught in dashes and super armor dahses. Its just going to happen. Its mainly a ping/desync issue and is hard to get around. Dashing behind someone and slanted is easy once you get used to it. Just requires some decent mouse sensitivity/dpi as the turn is just done by camera movement. Practice airstriking a target, turning your camera 90 degrees and then cancelling the airstrike. While in turn your camera the other 90 degrees and release the slanted when you come out of . The gaps should be very minimal during this move and can be a good catch

@@JP-uh9fo Attack speed increases all of our attacks, not just LMB. So attack speed is super valuable for DK. It shortens animations, increases DPS and reduces gaps between skills that may cause you to be knocked down.
