This was my wife and my wedding song because we both still love it so much. Every time I hear it the song fills my heart up and I feel the same way I did on our wedding day. This song is Brian Wilson's masterpiece and quite possibly one of the most perfect pop songs ever recorded.

You're in good company in crying to it. Paul McCartney has said not many songs bring him to tears; this is one of them. He and Brian Wilson once sang it together on stage. McCartney said that he managed to keep himself together on stage but in rehearsals he'd broken down. A beautiful song.

What a beautiful song, it's easy to get emotional to songs like this. It's written so well and it takes me right back to the early 70s or possibly before, as I remember the song as a young child and it has such a nice vibe, that it makes you feel good. This tune has such a positive feel. Lovely !

It's difficult sometimes to know what a song can do just at the right moment. I remember i was up all night working away getting stuff ready for others arriving early morning and being floored... It was Janis Ian singing Stars. It had nothing relating to what was going on in my life but it hit me on the head like a thunder storm. Knew i had to take a few days as there was something deeper needing a talking to by myself. You've had a pretty lousy week emotionally and a blooming season of bugs hitting your lungs. just another comment how a musical prodigy appreciated Brian Wilson, John Cale formerly the velvet Underground wrote a Tribute to Brian Wilson on his album "Slow Dazzlle' called. "I believe you Mr Wilson"

The word "genius" has been way overused for years, but, Brian Wilson is and was. He's up there with Mozart & Beethoven. I would urge you to dig into the story of Brian and The Beach Boys. He is an incredibly gifted and sensitive soul.
