Yay, such a fun video! Love all the outfits as always - so chic and comfy. Glad you had a nice vacation! We are close to Galveston so we may try to do that this summer...the water is nowhere near as pretty but you at least get the beachy vibe.

It’s great to see a travel vlog from you woohoo! We went to Sandestin the day after the beaches opened and omg sooooo many people. Coming from TN, we were taken aback. Glad y’all had a great time. I think we are going back in mid October 🥂

Hey there! Yes, it seems everyone booked as soon as they opened rentals in Florida. We were very shocked to see that many people. We've always heard October is a great time to go. We're looking at returning some time around then. Maybe it won't be as crowded if school gets back. xo

Thank you so much for all the insight about 30A. We were thinking of taking a trip there in a couple months and are reconsidering. I’m in South FL - Ft. Lauderdale area and I would say for the touristy areas, a lot of people act like nothing is happening, but in the ‘burbs and where the locals live and work and move through their days, most people are taking it very seriously. Or maybe people think the sun and sea heals all and just don’t care....idk but the myth of “Florida man” is alive and well. Lol I love these outfits - can’t wait to pick up some of the shorts!

Hey Crystal. Thanks for the video. So good to see you. Loved all of the outfits. Glad to hear you guys had a great time. The hubs and I have been wanting to go but the updates from Florida are scary. We usually go to Perdido Key. It's a 6 hour drive from where we live. We're scheduled to go to the Smokey Mountains next month (July) and I cannot wait to pack a suitcase!! LOL I just hope we get to go. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Hi there! Thank you so much! We want to try out Perido Key area sometime. I think if you are safe and not around a lot of people, it wouldn't be too bad. We've heard the Dollywood/Gatlinburg area has been just as busy. Everyone has cabin fever, lol. Hope you get to enjoy your trip!

Nice you were able to wear some of the nice things you bought for your cruise! Everything looks great on you! I’m still at the point where I stay at home almost all the time. I just can’t take the risk yet of being out. I live in California where we still have so many thousands of new confirmed cases every day that it feels dangerous.

I have stayed at that resort and liked it. We now have a vacation home in the area and spend a lot of time there now that we are retired. Certain times of year we avoid 30A! Too crowded! We also love several restaurants that aren’t on the beach.

Hi, we were supposed to be on the new Sky Princess. So disappointed we didn’t get to go. Have it scheduled for November as well but that probably isn’t happening either.

It’s good to know what happens outside through your travel video. When do you think it’s time to book your next cruise or you’ve already booked one.

We actually have two booked. One we booked last October while on our California cruise. It's supposed to be in November to the Southern Caribbean. We've tried to take this particular one for a few years now and the timing never works out. There are still a few islands we haven't been to. The other is after Christmas and we booked it this past January. Honestly from all the recent updates, I don't see any cruises happening this year.

Hi Crystal! Are there restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the resort you stayed at?

No shopping and I only saw one restaurant. The actual hotel is very far back from the main road. The one I mentioned had a really long wait. There are shops close by at Grand Blvd. and restaurants. That's where Tommy Bahamas is and other nice stores. You would need to stay in nearby Mirimar Beach to walk to restaurants but they are all very crowded since there are so many condos in the area.

We are going to Destin for a week. We are planning to get Togo orders, grill & maybe lunch in restaurants, if it isn’t crowded. Did you go to the outlet mall in SanDestin? We always go but debating it this time.

Hi, we skipped the outlet mall. We went last year and it was a total bust. I don't think it's a good one personally. I like the shopping at Grand Blvd. or Destin Commons. Enjoy your trip!

@@MissCrystal I totally understand. I love the condo to have breakfast/lunches. They are luxury condos with not very crowded beaches. We looked at the resort, but found it too pricey for four.

I live in Destin. It is not a Florida thing that the pandemic is over, it is all the tourists. Destin has approximately 12 to 14K year round residents. Since the beaches opened back up, there has been about 120K visitors here on a weekly basis. And no, none of them seems to understand social distancing, shopping one way in store aisles or wearing a mask. No doubt, there are some Destin residents who are not abiding by these proper standards either, but most were before the tourists were allowed and that is what kept our cases low. Since the beaches reopened, we have had an unprecedented number of visitors here. With Destin being a driving destination, visitors definitely got in their cars and drove down. Restaurants are still at 50% capacity, creating long wait lines of people huddled together. I would not go out to eat at any of the most popular restaurants. I don't subscribe to the fear mongering often seen in our media regarding this virus, but it is real as my Father passed away from it in April in a nursing home. Our community has quite a number of retired residents who are in a compromised age group and have reason to be concerned about their health and all that is asked is to wear a mask in appropriate places, social distance and shop directionally. Testing in our area has increased by 100 fold in the last 3 to 4 weeks, so that certainly accounts for some of the recent spike in cases. Our Governor just had to revert back to Phase 1 for bars and where alcohol was served due to the spike in cases of people in the age group that frequents these establishments the most. Due to a spike in cases, one city in a south Florida closed their beaches again starting July 3 through July 7 to circumvent the extraordinary crowds for the holiday weekend. So much of Florida's economy is tourism based, so our Governor walks a very thin line trying to reconcile health and safety concerns with economic survival. I would not want his job and pray for his leadership everyday as that of the President Trump's while we navigate a path we've never walked. Come to Destin, enjoy the beach, just be safe and bring your own TP and disinfectant wipes.

So sorry for the loss of your Father! Yes, we always bring our wipes and such when we travel. What you said sounds like the info I get from my Parents that live on the East Coast. I miss living in Florida sometimes but not at the moment. I'm in north AL now. xo
