Another feature of 0.31 is the new "painting menu" which lets you apply paints and decals to your car in the garage menu. It's a very basic feature right now but I missed it in the video.

@@diamond_boy5058 I knew that these truck updates would bring mention of the Truck Simulator Series, but looking at BeamNG by comparison in general I can tell you that BeamNG isn't near the quality of either of the Truck Simulator games, both in terms of graphics and realism.

@@ZuneGuy1118 depends on exactly what kind of 'realism' you're talking about. Neither of those sims have chassis flex, I don't believe the suspension is modeled correctly, and the driving dynamics are more of an arcade feel on anything except solid ground. Graphics could be debated but both games are pretty old at this point so potato potato.

@ZuneGuy1118 zone I figured out my issue so the new update to the t-series added press able buttons to the trucks and trailers but something revolving around my cpu broke the buttons and so I can't see it

9:35 Actually, running out of air means you wouldn't be able to move. Air brake activation is inverted. They are closed by default, and the air pressure is used to open them.

The reason there are two beds is because in America, many trucks are used for long haul, and the drivers switch out for maximum distance in the shortest possible time. Some even have three drivers.

I used to team with my dad before we got our own rigs after I got trained to drive flatbed. Now trucks in the US have 2 beds standard. Meaning it costs more to only have 1 bed, because team driving has become more common because of hours of service laws

I like how everything hints towards story mode! Trucks with 3 main loads and their loading area: -Port for containers -steel mill for metal pipes -quarry for dump truck (I wouldnt be surprised to see a sawmill or refinery soon for the other loads) Also the police station got updated and we know there will be fines to pay in story mode, so this is where you do that and more probably. Also also we got 2 construction areas and a filming studio recently for delivering more goods. Also also also the whole island we got seems to be focused on trucking and industrial areas. So we will surely get a lot of trucking quests in story mode. In addition, it has been speculated that we might get official multiplayer some day (prob in multiple years), also a feature that is more common in story / survival games, than in a sandbox

With the specific engine sound chosen, the t series sounds a lot like a 5.9 24v cummins which yes its also an inline 6, but still, i just love the sound.

A. The paint thing is when you crash, then repair your car, it will put tan body parts on and then you have to paint it yourself. B. They're revamping the area down by the canal, at the bottom of the hill by the repair shops and the diner. They've removed the old houses and old steel mill thing and replaced it with a gravel lot!

Despite not having early access, I prefer your video quality to others that got early access. Way better coverage, love it as always! Also, not sure if you knew but they changed the internal name from "semi" to "us_semi", so maybe we'll get an EU truck in the future, something like a Scania or Volvo possibly?

Much appreciated! I would love to see an EU truck but we really need a big EU map like Germany or Britain before that. Italy is alright but not great for trucking 🙈

Love it, the old model was so old and ugly and now its so much better. I hope this will bring more trucks, maybe some modern trucks like the international lt but under fictional beamng brand

Not entirely sure he completely knows what he's talking about... Said the truck uses *hydraulics* to control the brakes in the truck & trailer even though it's actually pneumatics. Also, the compression brakes uses recirculating exhaust gases to "choke" the engine to slow it, not hydraulics. The only place where the truck uses hydraulics is to lift the dump/car hauler upfit

Now i'm just waiting some modders to add comparable extra engines pack, like DD 12v71 or some v8 like Mack E9. For example, IYB B-series have even huge 1350hp v12 CAT C32 for heaviest builds Btw new T's interior materials are sick, so retro and cosy.

another youtuber went through the game files and found out the file for the 0.31 t-series is named “us_semi” so that means they might add european trucks in the future

The engine brake turns the engine into a massive air compressor, it closes the exhaust valves for either 2, 4, or all 6 cylinders, the pressure in the cylinders on the exhaust stroke slow (or put resistance) on the engine, turning the engine into a brake or as dot call it, a speed controlling mechanism because it does NOT bring you to a complete stop, the engine brake can't build pressure in the engine below 800 rpm in most american engines by design to prevent damage to the valve train by over pressuring cylinders at idle.

4:30 actually compression brakes has nothing to do with hydraulics. Hydraulics are purely for the rollback and dump upfit and dump trailer. Linkage you've pulled is actualyl just a high idle

the trany is made to be shifted as a 10 speed and how you get the other 5 gears is you shift like 2L - 2H-3L-3H-4L-4H and so forth what, you can map a button to the low hi range selecter

Hey! I got a question. I see you are using a G27. What windows are you using? My G27 wont work with win11 and i need a fix, or else i gotta buy something new.

I'm on Windows 11 and have not had problems getting it to work. If you make sure you have the correct driver/software for it that should be ok.

@@SimulatorAdventures Thank you, i have the correct driver, and it does not get recognized at all, when i plug it in, it gives full wheel resistance and the Pc does not know its connected.

It could be a dead wheel or broken cable. Try and make sure all the cables are connected and see if it works on an older computer

In force feedback settings go to 1:1 Behaviour and select faster if needed or disabled if needed. They work differently but both enable full rotation

What should I do if the steering wheel rotation speed in the truck is higher than the speed of the game steering wheel itself? I have a g27, and the steering wheel in the game does not turn completely

Well this update the devs did rename a Tseries file from "semi" to "us-semi" hinting to maybe a "eu-semi" in the future hopefully sooner rather than later

The toggle on the shifter is probably the Jacobs Brake toggle, two beds in the cab is for your road partner so one can sleep while the other drives or both sleep if you are doing a reset.
