Back when Walking dead was a badass show, still has its moments here and there but the 1st season will always be the best, it felt more like a movie than an actual tv show.

They need more music like this in the newer seasons.

They definitely took inspiration from 28 Weeks/Days Later.

I loved seeing Shane's descent into madness. Beginning with this moment. When Lori tries to cut him out completely from her families lives. You could see it in his eyes and the sheer ferocity in which he beat Ed.

Merle to this day, is single handedly(literally) one of the most badass characters on twd

No other season can ever compare to the first. This show kicked ass during its first season. This moment STILL gives me chills. Going from Shane beating Ed to Daryl, T-Dog, Glenn, and Rick rushing to the roof to save Merle and finding only his hand is still there. Soooo good!!

I always think of this as Shane's theme. It suits him...

I think they should do more of these types of songs for the new season of TWD.. I mean it was so damn quiet in Season 4.. half the time it was just plain out boring. They had some good soundtrack choices (and more frequent soundtrack) in Seasons 1-3 (3 had a lot)

i remember the scene with this music, when Shane punches Ed to save Carol, Andrea and the others. it was awesome, this is my favorite song of the walking dead. Its so sad that almost everyone of that scene now is dead. rip Ed season 1-1 rip Amy season 1-1 rip Jacqui season 1-1 rip Shane Walsh season 1-2 rip Andrea season 1-3 the only one who is still alive is Carol and now she is stronger and also she is an important person of the group, favorite of many people. im sure she will survive to the very end. So few people alive of the first season Rick, Carl, Carol, Glenn, Daryl and Morgan. Hearing this song at the end of that episode is what put the hook in me for this show. Haven't missed an episode since. I heard this and knew TWD would be something amazing.

this song reminds me of really quarantine, when my mom sat me down at night with my dad to watch this masterpiece of a show. i remember this always telling my parents not to skip the intro on the new seasons, and eating wheatans during the show. i miss the feeling of knowing the original cast as it was not knowing what was gonna happen to them

10 years ago.. the main show has finnaly ended. I remember watching the first season and being in love with the show. I need to continje after the whisperers arc

I miss when this show was actually about zombies and not just about drama. Season 1 was the best tbh, Frank Darabont did a great job with it, such a shame they AMC got rid of him. He made The green mile, Shawshank redemption, and the mist, and he all he wanted was a bigger budget, but those greedy AMC fucks fired the creator of the best season. Such a shame.

Watching the walking dead makes me feel incredibly sad and shocked at how cruel people can become when pressured to survive. If the zombie apocalypse happens, I doubt that i'll survive, being an artist, I would be a complete waste of space and resources, natural really, considering art only becomes important in a society which has all of its basic needs.

This song is riveting! Absolutely made that episode.

This song does have a similar theme with the one from 28 Days Later, but its emotion is way different. When in 28 Days Later it just feels like you're searching for somebody but you don't find them, and you start getting that this is not a nightmare but reality, here you feel like the tense of madness is growing slowly deep inside you. Then you feel like you need to roar. That's what gives me chills here, nice music. Definitely not a ripoff.
