Swimmy is probably the best behaved pool patron. He doesn't run or dive in. And he NEVER splashes anyone else.

I imagine he leaves behind some rather large and unpleasant dumps in the pool though - that can't be fun for the staff to clear up! He is completely adorable, it's lovely seeing him just enjoy life! If only he'd clean up after himself :)

That is the coolest thing ever. He just waits till everyone is gone, and comes to enjoy a night cap and some relaxation. I’m glad they are allowing him to stay there, and are not making a big deal about it. He looks at peace. Living his best life.

What a considerate bear. If it weren't for the cameras they probably wouldn't have a clue this was happening. Bear doesn't get into the trash, doesn't destroy property, just goes for a relaxing swim and leaves in peace. ❤️🐻

I love how he comes alone. Not sharing his secret spot. He plays nicely, kicking around and enjoying the water, then calmly leaves after he's had his fun. No poop or pee in the pool, no destruction, the perfect guest.

That Bear knows how to live! Even smells the Rose's as such and looks for snacks on his way to the pool. Then takes a relaxing swim and body surf the pool edge.

@@blackthrone6976 as far as I know, outdoor pools dry out the pools during winter season. At least thats how it was done where I live. From the video it seemed as if they would keep the water in for the bear, which would be really cute

The shits also closed to the public for the winter. theyll prolly clean it before it opens anyway

Bears in the wild have been observed to sit and stare at scenic shots like mountains and rivers for hours. And from what the experts say, they only do this because they think the view is beautiful

I love how Swimmy tests the water with a paw and gently gets in and stays at the side to acclimatise before setting off swimming, that's literally what most humans do! It's great that they are letting him swim because he's not damaging anything, well maybe the filter will have a lot of hair in it 😉.

Swimmy acts just like a human would while taking a late night swim! He goes back and forth like he’s getting some exercise in. He also hangs out at the wall separating the hot tub from the rest of the pool like many of us do! I think it’s really cool to watch a bear act so “normal”. He seems like a teenaged bear, not a baby but definitely not fully grown. Hopefully he’ll keep coming back every year!

OMG, this seriously makes my day!! Thank you for sharing this. It's too funny and he's acting like a person, hanging on the side, doing his laps. Not bothering anyone. No destruction.

Good on the staff, he's not causing anyone harm, he's just looking for a relaxing swim at the end of his day....we would ask for the same amount of respect if we entered his natural environment, why should he expect any different when he enters ours...

The staff of the pool are the best! So kind to the bear (and bears?). Giving and taking with our poor wildlife is heartening. They have a hard and short life.

😂😂 It looks he's having a blast. Somebody should enjoy that pool, happy to hear the staff there let him be. Amazing thing to see a bear swim in a pool, just for play. ❤️
