Cute birdies! I have gauche but I haven't seen it in a while. Probably in a closet in one of my craft boxes. I think it's time to locate it. These are adorable and I need to chase away the blues. I did paint 3 blotches in 3 different watercolors last night planning on birds. They are still 3 blotches.

Hi Susan, thanks so much for commenting, that's great! I've put the sketch for mommy bird up on the website to trace so you can download that for free, and just apply the same techniques to her as I did to little fat bird, using different colors. Hi Debbie, I was talking about GOUACHE which is pronounced GWOSH. It is just watercolor paint which has something added to it to make it not transparent but opaque, so it will go over the top of other colours. There is also ACRYLIC GOUACHE which is also opaque, but dried solid like acrylic and I don’t use that because it ruins brushes!
