Using downward slants to get lower is perfectly in keeping with a zero-G challenge. It’s how you would actually navigate without gravity. It should be allowed anywhere.

Ironically Gideon gets easier if you defeat Malenia first. He then gains acces to her Scarlet Flower move which leaves him wide open for an eternity after using it

The final boss, the one that can drag out out of the air and put you back on the ground. Seems fitting haha

18:50 A rarely known feature of Radagon is he has access to a golden order equivalent to carian retaliation where he parries a attack and throws a lightning spear. You can see this when there's a hum like sound as he flicks he's arm left. He gets alot of damage reduction after the parry similar to shields with carrian after parrying a spell the rest will be heavily resisted and as you can see during the comet he does the parry and threw the spear. I do always find it funny when I see ppl fighting Radagon/Elden Beast with a bleed weapon, because neither of them bleed. I know it's probably just because getting and upgrading another weapon to max would be too tedious to be worth it just for the final bosses, but still. If you plan to do another Elden Ring challenge run, may I add in the caveat that you need to use a non-bleed weapon for those two? It would make me feel better, and we all know the only thing that matters is pleasing random commenters In any case, though, this was a very entertaining video! I love seening all the creative ways people have screwed with this game lol. And I very much appreciate the captions, as well!

my depth perception died while watching the elden beast fight. He always looked like he was on the ground when the beast wasn't under him.

On why Comet did no damage to Radagon: (don't know if you figured it out later or anyone mentioned it yet) Radagon has a parry mechanic against spells. He raises his arm up and tries to parry the spell, which means it deals no damage and he chucks a lighting bolt at you. However, since some spells aren't able to be parried (like comet), he also gains MASSIVE damage resistance while his arm is raised for the parry, which makes spell only Radagon an absolute nightmare. Some spells can get around this (like invisible night sorceries), but for the most part, he'll try to yeet away any spell he sees. TL;DR: Radagon tries to parry any spell he sees, and if he can't parry it, he just tanks through it

i felt physical pain seeing you not use unsheathe against the radagon wolf for that sweet sweet posture damage, actual damage and chance of bleed.

You learned SO MANY THINGS about this game doing this challenge run! The straight-through format doesn't do it justice, imo! Since some things you learn, you have to UN-learn soon after, like the run to Maliketh, and how to get down to the tutorial area. It kind of muddies the "story" of how the challenge would work in an ideal fashion. It would be a lot more work, I'm sure, but doing another video of your second attempt of this challenge would probably work better, to show off a cleaner version of how the various cheese-strats work. You could start by listing the challenge "rules" at the beginning, including how jumping and dying gets you down to stakes of Marika, and the slope-descent cheese for the Ruins. (I'm thinking specifically of how PressContinue, a Netherlands souls-challenge youtuber, does his intros, but of course you gotta stay original and not copy too much. It's a balance. Please, don't copy his puns. XD) It all comes down to the kind of content you want to make - more focus on the blindness of the run, or an optimized version of the run? And how much space you have on your harddrive to store multiple challenge runs of unedited footage, as well as keep it organized; I know that's a LOT. You might have to finalize a video like this, dump the raw footage, and THEN record a response to it, cutting back to footage from THIS video with like a sepia-tone on it or smth. But that's just me spit-balling, not tryna tell u what to do! Hm, I'm quite not sure how to phrase this point, but here goes: It's like - I feel like you're really down on yourself about not "being gud" at the game, even though you're doing everything RIGHT in a Souls game - you identify exactly what your immediate hurdle is, and you try several different ways to overcome it, from poison arrows, to entering and leaving the arena, to spending hours practicing how to spam rolls to avoid attacks. You DID IT, you BEAT the game with this funky gravity restriction, you learned SO MUCH and beat so many smaller obstacles along the way! So, I feel like the story of the huge gap that was traversed is more interesting than the story of how lame you think your final accomplishment feels in comparison to... I don't even know, whatever image you have in your head that no one else can see. WE can't see what you're comparing yourself to, so we're just impressed by what you DID! It's like, if a total beginner at (sport) manages to earn a spot in a National Level competition, and they come in last. But they beat SO MANY THOUSANDS of other athletes just to GET there, right?? And they feel sad because there's Olympic athletes that will go on to greater heights of accomplishment in (sport). But that amount of distance the total beginner covered is SO worth celebrating! And not only for yourself - your accomplishments are much greater than some of your viewers! So they'd probably feel even worse about their own lower skill ceiling, hearing someone they think of as better than them, talk down about themselves. Ya know? (And I speak from a place of fully understanding low-self-esteem-brain, and being unable to take my own advice about half the time. But it's always better to spread the love, imo. :) So, I don't know if I phrased all that quite right, and I know it's a looooong journey. But I know /I'm/ a lot happier when I tell myself that the Finished List matters more than the Unfinished List.

The loading zone for the lakes is there because there is a path around Stormveil. So basically you don’t have to beat godrick to get to the lakes even if you’re playing normally.

Hey friend, use Dragon grease for the final boss, it makes your blade cut through his special armor like butter. Works with all enemies that have special armor. (Dragons, elden beast, miners, etc.)

Potential way around the Farum Azula "cheese" one of the other belfries also takes you there, maybe go there and activate a grace before activating the kiln

You can actually get Varre's teleport by invading NPCS using summon signs, like the Magnus The Beast Claw sign.

there's a npc in altus platau that allow you to progress through varre's quest now

Ik it would be practically impossible to make but I want to see a full on no gravity version of elden ring like weapons give momentum when swung and stuff

after defeating godrick u could have just walked back where u came from to touch the grace on the same level as u since you didnt go up or down

You don’t need online for varres quest close to the entrance to mount gelmir the like rope bridge on the Altus plateau side there some ruins that have a fight that doesn’t need online

I feel like using downward slopes to move horizontally is totally in-bounds for this challenge. I was actually wondering (until you said you were avoiding it) why you weren’t trying that to lower yourself, along with jump attacks (which bring you downwards) or spells that have a height effected animation like dragon breaths.

You should’ve used a physical katana like nagakiba or uchi for the Elden beast, as he’s immune to bleed and has resistance to fire damage. It would’ve made it a little bit easier, but you still managed to get through it. GG
