Guys I have a big American bully and a cat in my van and 2 Max air fans that blow in and out..... No air conditioner but what I do have is 3 $30 mist chargeable fans that keep my interior cool and my my pets happy

So glad I found your channel. I will be moving into a van soon, but I am worried about my dogs suffering in the heat of summer. Things are on hold for now until the fall when temps get cooler. Then I’ll have to worry about keeping us all wam, but thats easier than dealing with summer heat. It’s been high 90’s here in CA lately.

My worst nightmare also,the Tim can retains heat. Too bad your panels are on your roof. Engine produces heat, 210° takes 4 hrs to cool, asphalt heats to 250° combine the two and that rules out rest stops and Walmarts..may hit 78° here today,,be safe out there, shade for van,put your chair in knee deep water and chill..ty very nice vlog

I soooo relate (solo female vanlifer of 4 years here). Heat in a van can make you crazy, especially when you have to work full-time out of the van. There is a point at which you simply don't know where to go anymore. I struggled in Wyoming last summer; kept driving up in elevation every evening to camp and then down to a small town in the daytime to get cell reception or just work from a library. I recently switched to Starlink as well which helps me stay at higher elevation and have to commute a lot less. Love your content! It's just real and how vanlife actually is. So many channels have videos that are over-produced and much more based on road-tripping adventures and travel destinations; it is nice and comforting to see someone else who is just out there enjoying little moments in nature, while working a remote job full-time. This summer I am on the coast (in Santa Cruz) waiting out the heatwave for a couple more weeks. Good luck to you!

I’m so glad you like it. I haven’t found many channels that are working full time so it’s definitely been a bit of reality check. Vanlife is not how it looks on social media most of them time. Let me know if you head north!

I was just in Boise and yeah definitely had to run from that heat! Currently near Aspen and it's nice and cool.

Oh boy heat, try to come a place in the mountains with a good running stream 50/50 sun and shade for the weekend and next week, at lease get in the water and relax, the kids might like the water 😊.

That’s where we were haha. But even high up in elevation, it’s still so hot. Have to have sun to charge my batteries. Starlink uses a ton of power. The struggle 😩

I thought starlink had a 100-foot cable to be able to park in the shade. Yours didn't come with a long cable, that is not good, I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing , have a blessed week, be safe

From what I’ve heard, they stopped providing the long cable. Bummer, but I would still need to be in sun so my batteries can charge. It’s a losing situation haha

Good video! I would have a hard time if I had to deal with heat for a extended time period. I require 73 degrees or cooler 2 be able to comfortably sleep at night!

I don’t refrigerate mine. Yes mould from condensation on the underneath side can happen, I just wipe mine down with vinegar. If you don’t keep them clean, they will get smelly. They definitely help my dogs.

I think the heat you've been experiencing is moving eastward and catching up to me in Michigan this week. I hope this perhaps means your pattern has changed, and you're now in cooler temps now. There have been periods of uncomfortable weather in the upper Midwest this summer, but thankfully, patterns change. I'll be "summerizing" this week and will probably not have the advantage of low humidity. Was that "Happy Place" sign yours, or did someone leave it there for you to find?

I think there are some 12v conversation solutions out there for Starlink that don't require destroying the Dishy that might tame the power required to run that bohemian!
