Man, I cant even climb yet. And I've been doing silks for like 2 months. Edit/update: I can climb now, idk how but my body just decided one day that it could in fact climb the silks 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mechanical Ghosty dont worry ‘bout it. It took me a year or two to get to being able to get up our silks (about 15 feet) in a few seconds. Its all about building strength! Good luck

It’s fine I started aerial a year ago and now I’m on the professional performing circus team and the same thing happened to me...something tells me you’ll be very good at aerial

1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55. A year to get up to the top quickly? I’m sorry but that’s a long time. That’s a basic skill that you should have down when you’re like 3-4 months in. It took me about 3 months to get to the top of the silks(around 20ft) quickly.

I really would have loved for this to be a duet with the aerialist and a swimming mermaid. But nonetheless! Beautiful performance! Beautiful aqua costume, and mermaid inspired hairdo. And what a gorgeous venue :)

How can 239 people "DISLIKE" this? I can understand if maybe it is not your thing or you are not interested, but how can people be so unappreciative as to give a "thumbs down"? By all means, don't judge it, or just "walk away" after viewing it, but "thumbs down"? This is a tremendous combination of art, athleticism, creativity, danger, beauty and dedication to performance. NO matter what you think of it, it may not be your thing, but there is no way somebody can even objectively call this "bad" or "thumbs down". It takes incredible skill, desire, dedication and preparation and the presentation and theme, even if not to your taste still do not invalidate the incredible abilities and performance.

i do believe that there was 2 different pieces of silk. if you think about it she was getting pulled up by someone in the beginning. they tied it so the silk wouldnt get messed up. because i do silks and you need a knot at top or it would be hanging in 2 diff pieces.

Hecc, to the people saying “this is boring” or “not so talented” I understand your opinion, however, no hate, I would love to see you guys try her act. As boring and common this act is, it’s harder than you think. I’ve never tried it out myself but I know it’s hard (I’m a fan of circuses so I know many hard and easy acts Xd) I honestly think this is beautiful.

I'm doing it for a year and yes the things she has done wasn't so hard but she has done them gracefully and I liked it. Also she was on the air for 5 minutes which makes it harder. I mean I can do those things but I don't think I can do it for 5 minutes in the air without landing on the floor and stopping for awhile lol. She's great and I'm jealous of the place where she performed.

Maybe It’s not her performance, it’s the camera angles, they keep on switching so people can’t actually see what is going on properly. I thought it was beautiful but the way the camera switched so much was really annoying.

iMolika Men-Thlang you should try it! I’m about the same size and I’ve been doing it for a year. The silks are supposed to be able to hold a car so anyone can do it :)
