We were staying at the Sandstone Point Holiday Resort just on the mainland side of the Bribie Island bridge and took a walk over to the island to Bongaree to check out the cafes, restaurants and pubs. Our favourite cafe is the Sunset pier, over the bridge and turn left but it wasn't open on the first visit so we had to go back the next day.
We have not covered the shopping district of Bongaree which has all the usual stores and shops you would expect in a small shopping mall.
Bribie is a firm favourite of ours and we love going there.
