you sound like me ali, when we go away somewhere, especially a land based holiday, i have almost every minute of every day preplanned with things to do. we usually will prepurchase our tickets to attractions and even prepurchase our meals at restaurants through places like cudo or groupon. i need to remember to leave some time not already planned when i go away, as often im so exhausted from doing so much that i cannot go somewhere that i have booked as im just too tired, so we end up losing our money on that thing as we paid for it before leaving home. but i do like prepaying for things for our holidays as then i can pay for something each fortnight, so its paid slowly over time :)

We are going on our 1st cruise since covid to PNG in August on P &O Encounter in Aug and are so excited. Enjoy your cruise to Japan.

You don’t need tender tickets when you have booked a tour thru P&O . Usually with that you assemble at the meeting point whether it be marquee theatre or encounter hotel on board and then you as a group get a shuttle to exit the ship or straight on the dock into a coach bus or straight onto the tender. The first time we sailed on P&O a staff member in the destination lounge bummed steered us as we had booked a sightseeing tour in Noumea and it was cancelled. We had booked a different tour with him and he also gave us a shuttle bus ticket which we didn’t require as the tour was leaving directly from the dock. We didn’t know this being our first time we got on the shuttle bus ended up at the terminal in Noumea , finding out after asking the help desk there that we leave from the dock for any P& O booked tours . We jumped back on the shuttle, headed back to the ship and hence saw our tour bus leaving out the gate as we came back, so again we stayed on the shuttle and headed back to the terminal and booked with a local tour . i can say sometimes staff can do you wrong I think we know that container yard very well visiting it a few times that day we handled it with humour but we did give the guy a little bit of a serve when we got back on ship and he giggled and disappeared in the back. We are all human and I think he was in training . But at least our money was refunded and we did a tour and it was virtually same cost or cheaper .

Talk about foot wear my hubby forget shoes he only wears thongs, we got reservations for the paid restaurant and needed shoes, lucky we did an Aussie crusie so we had to go buy shoes in Cairns lol..
