A visit to Holland is not complete without visiting the famous Lapjesmarkt in Utrecht which takes place every Saturday from 9am - 1pm.
We hopped on the train from Amsterdam Central for a short 20 minute train ride. When you leave the station head towards the Centrum exit and turn left out of the barriers. Directly opposite you is a large shopping centre. Walk through the shopping centre following the signs to the Historic Centre and you will come out into a market place selling food. Walk straight ahead and left around the market and you will come out onto the main road. Turn Right and keep walking down the main road until you reach the rabbit. Once you get to the rabbit head down the street it sits on and then turn left and you will see the cafe and market ahead of you.
I can highly recommend Cafe Le Journal for a traditional lunch with delicios dutch snacks lejournal.nl/
