Learning to be diné medicine man is taught in diné language. Even during ceremony native language is spoken. There is a reason behind it. Not recommended in social media.

Read the bible, that's our history. We American Indians are the tribe of Gad, from the twelve tribes of Israel. Esau is who is keeping your identity hidden from you. Read the real history books written by explorers. Not school history. That's corruption.

When I was on the Dine reservation, they held a healing ceremony but did not let me near it, which is understandable. It is hard for many people to understand because most of us come from religions (such as Christianity) that seek converts, but native spirituality is not like that. I was able to attend the Yebachee ceremony is Tuba City, which had a bit of a feeling of a spectacle. But I met people there who really felt the ritual in ways that I could not, because I did not understand it.

Maybe on your part of the Nation only 5% are traditional. The Nation as a whole I say it's a good 30% to 40% traditional. Unfortunately Christianity and NAC have disrupted our true traditional ways but it should not discourage those who do follow our traditional ways Keep our true Dine' traditional ways alive!!.

If you want your tradition alive live by the bible, christianity is a man made religion, who is jesus? The word. "J" was invented util the 1600's. The white jesus is really the god of this world. Our tradition is sinning against our creator. NAC, it's close, take the idols away and you might have something. The bible is our history book that white man is deceiving you. Research our ceremonies, God is named in them, sand paintings produce our flat earth. I'll be glad open more eyes.

I want to know as a Navajo what they think about organized religion like Christianity being dominate on the Navajo reservation and it's effects on our people as a tribe. High addiction rates, domestic violence, suicide. Women go missing, low success rate, water contamination. The holy people gave them these ways to also use their voices and I as a Navajo would like to hear their opinion on these topics.

I supposed the title is a little misleading. One cannot choose to 'become' a person who works in ceremonial ways, they are born with it already on their path and learn and mentor from others who are further ahead on their journey in life.

@sCreaminOut SupremaCy The angels told the men {whoever got this knowledge from them, they would have no share of the next world} You can literally purchase this world at the expense of the next. {and what an evil price they sold themselves for if they can only understood} Those who studied it became the first magicians and all magic that is existant today somehow goes back to Babylon. And there are different schools and different arts and ways within magic. {And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, “We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].” And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. Whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.} (Quran 2:102) And these are God's words. I am not making this up
@maryamahmad9762
@maryamahmad9762 4 жыл бұрын
@sCreaminOut SupremaCy lol no im not. I was just curious about medicine men bc we were learning about them in my anthropology class and I was curious about what they meant by supernatural forces going into their body. And in the reading it said that a power that has been antagonized by disrespectful behavior towards its source may retaliate by causing the offender to become sick. "Power-caused illnesses" (kdsiti diyi' bit) are properly treated with curing ceremonials in which one or more medicine men, using chants and various items of ritual paraphernalia, attempt to neutralize the sickness-causing power with powers of their own. him. In any case, all agree that the patient is brought into intimate contact with a potent supernatural force which elevates him to a condition labeled gbdiyd' (sacred, holy). The term gddiyd' may also be translated as "potentially harmful" and, in this sense, is regularly used to describe classes of objects (including all sources of power) that are surrounded with taboos. In keeping with the semantics of g6diyd', the Western Apache explain that, besides making patients holy, power makes them potentially harmful. And it is this transformation, they explain, that is basically responsible for the cessation of verbal communica- tion during curing cerimonials. Ya so I figured that these rituals that they perform are another word for black magic. Cause thats the same process which requires calling out a supernatural force(jinn) to help you. Idk do you think these rituals are actually right and acceptable? Not my life but I hope you guys know that these spirits are definitely not good ones that you guys ask help from.

If u truly knew, well I won't waste my time convincing someone who's too one-sided, but I guess ur beliefs, philosophy, whatever is better than ours-native american tradition. Hey what do we know right. But again, u seek out native American traditional ways here on KZfaq. Who are you trying to convince, in addition, u r welcome to explore true na traditions, the good way, promise you no evil. All this na trad talk should be kept secret anyway, bcuz ppl like u point fingers and shame first, without truly understanding. Sha=crush, ma=liquid, na=seed Seed that is crushed to liquid. Look up Jeff A Benner, if this was interesting. He has a channel, but especially awesome, a website.

We like the Turtle Island Indigenous believed in truth' and Honor. We believed in the Divine Feminine , we were' and still are connected to the Akashic record of the Universe. We stand in the way of the biggest crooks in the Universe. This is a good place to be! Money is their power. All we all need to do is go back to the old ways. Everyone can get in on this. I do respect them for holding onto traditional beliefs and lifestyles. However, Native American are so prideful of their culture that it hinders them because it is hard for them to separate themselves from their tribe to pursue something greater. For many, wanting to increase your standard of living is considered selfish and from that, jealously arises: mainly from member of their own tribe. Also, for some, there is a fear of leaving the reservation. If you ever been through any reservation, you can see it’s desolate and outdated. This is due to no economic growth and their geographic locations. Reservations were intentionally placed in areas lacking vital resources (fertile land, water, population.) Also, the few business that are located on tribal land are either owned by few tribal citizens or the government. There is almost no competition; which is essential for increasing peoples’ standards of living. New laws and regulations should be in place to ensure business to flourish. Furthermore, they should adjusting their tax system to be more competitive and re-evaluating their court systems, along with solving other small impediment issues. I honestly don’t see the tribal government opening their land to other privately owned businesses because that’s less financial aid from the government, leading to less money in their pockets. In reality, the best thing they can do to better themselves and for their people is to leave the reservation all together, because that was the governments’ initial goal. Keep them there.

Where would they go? To the cities? To forget their culture and take on the white's people way of life? They are trying to hold onto their culture while living in a white's man society and reality. Their values are different, to them respect for the earth and land is very important, and family and tribe. Things that we hardly do. We look at them from our perspective and see what they are lacking. But they are far richer than we, because their values hold up to time and are of a spiritual kind.

Honestly seeing my own reservation has brought nothing but drugs, alcohol and theft. No jobs, hardly any ranchers or anything left. Just mostly people popping out babies and getting high and drunk. Having this "white man bad" mentality is ridiculous already. My father refused to work for anyone outside our race and it killed his career in silversmithing. If we really want to stick to traditions then stop blaming others for our misfortune and learn to adapt and maybe get people in government who have the same values because right now the "white man" isn't running our people into the ground its our own. Living in third world conditions has to do with the Navajo Goverment. Look at all these other tribes doing things helping out their own. Maybe get some solar plants up. Not much is being done to destroy the ground nor is there chance for any type of contamination. Maybe set up a market for ranches. So much of a market but its wasted and we are ruining ourselves.

癸亥 U posted the same response to a couple Dine videos. Lol. Stay in your lane. You are clearly on the outside looking in. Therefore, you will never understand what you are misinformed about. Please take your misery elsewhere.

There are basic way’s to obtain,....basic way’s to keep ,....all real spiritual powers work different, no certain way ,..( that’s how a person knows) ,...we do not validate ourselves through the living ,....most medicine people are evildoers who like to lead or take over on another’s way ,....their footsteps are their’s ,...with the good one’s there is a stem and mesh involved,....amazing not one of these people’s have that ,...there is no name for higher power ,....the first line is not crossed,....( there are four , the first one is humbleness) ,.....do not cross the first one ,....
