Join me as I intentionally train for my first expert enduro race! This was 10 weeks in the making and consisted of many top to bottom pulls down some of my favorite tracks.
A lot happened between 7 weeks and the day before the race...
1) My Canada trip
• Jank and Speed || Welc...
• They Ride THIS On Sing...
• The Most Famous Tech T...
• Knolly Chilcotin 155 Demo
2) I got a new job (video was made but wont be released for a bit)
3) RIP Yeti (I went 5 weeks without my enduro bike. Road the HT and ebike)

Dude, this is IT, man. You're one of the only mountain bikers on YT putting out the thought process and explanation of the grind to get better. I'm sending this video to my intermediate friends who are also starting to dabble in racing and who generally just want to get better. Also, if you're looking for any specific exercises to do in between riding sessions: planks, deadlifts, squats. Work that core and legs.

Thanks Chris! The grind is definitely real haha I probably should have done sport category again but I just love these trails so much that doing them all in a day sounded more fun. My friends and I are doing 100 situps a day for June, hoping that helps strengthen the core. I also have a magnetic rowing machine, that thing is exhausting!

@@MTB_Corbin hell yeah. For what it's worth, a few weeks ago an old mountain bike greybeard gave me a copy of the book "Mastering Mountain Bike Skills" by Brian Lopes and Lee McCormack and it's completely changed and improved everything about my riding. So much stuff in there I hadn't thought of.

Looking forward to the next one. Seems like a solid approach to training but there’s always something… I got sick a month before a big race and lost alot of my fitness. Part of the fun I guess.

Yeah this one definitely had several "somethings" that you know about lol. The Yeti situation sucked but overall the turnout was pretty good. Stoked for the race day vlog to release! Almost done editing

Yeah, especially when you push Predator the arm pump can be real. I've never done a full pull, I always stop at the fire road crossing lol though i guess there isnt much afterward

It will be interesting to see if you studying the trails through the videos would actually result in the corrections cuz personally I’d forget lol

Is the sport class course shorter than the expert class? Or is this years course just overall longer?
@MTB_Corbin

expert is substantially longer than sport... sport is roughly 3k feet climbing while expert clocked in at close to 5.3k
