Do you need to adjust rebound to be significantly lower if you're losing control after the compression? Also: legit great endo turn.
@MTB_Corbin
@MTB_Corbin 3 күн бұрын
haha thank you! I like my rebound as is... it's pretty fast which helps through the chunk. I just didn't realize how much of an impact I'd take on that section of trail and was alright off line. not rebounds fault but totally my own. Only happened once and then I knew to hug the left side during the compression

Congrats on the new bike and awesome vid! What size rotors are you running? I have XT on my HT and XTR on the full suspension. I’m using 203mm XT rotors for the full suspension and my breaking power is extremely strong even at geared up weight of 235lbs.

Hey thanks! I’ve got 203 front and rear as well. Think the main thing are the pads that come with these. I’m going to try some MTXs which I’ve exclusively ran in the ebike and yeti in the past. Stoked to see your new bike man! I recently went from Code brakes to XTs hopefully my experience helps a little. I switched from the metallic finned Shimano brake pads to MTX Red pads and they increased the power for me, and are far quieter. I used the MTXs on my Code brakes too, and they also improved them. If you're looking for a way to elevate the XTs a bit, might be worth checking them out! Cheers!

You make a great point about a lot of us being over-biked. I'm looking at an Evil Offering or Ibis Ripley, both of which are significantly less "enduro" than my current bike. it's so true! modern bikes are incredibly good these that it's easy to pedal a big bike, but really the less travel trail bikes are just more fun. Sometimes though more travel is better, but I found my sweet spot is 160 front and 150 rear.

I like the method except there are 6 trails and 25 points almost all the trails would need to be most fun to pass like I think a little more buffer would make it more accurate and with the smaller number of trails I feel like stevens pass really delivers with both flow and tech PBR is a bundle of joy I recomend everyone try Stevens pass. He praised the Tech trails but Rock crusher is the perfect trail for almost everyone and the jumps are very easily cleared. The green trail is just a casual trail but its fun to go fast on.

thanks for the feedback! I tried to change it up a bit for the next "HUD" kind of video. Some of my buddies told me the same thing about this video being predictable in the rating system. Thanks for the great review. We are going to build a short cut out from the middle of Madrona out to the road (south climb connection on TF) that climbs back to the top of Slippery Slopes and Cross Cut. Unfortunately the terrain, wetlands and budget didn't allow for more dedicated climbs. There were trails proposed in the big dead zone in the middle of the park, but wetlands forced us out of the area.
