The bee gees are the original . Elvis dose a great cover . Elvis wasn't happy with his version on stage but you'll see the most fantastic version when he sings it on rehearsal in 1970 .

Elvis that's the way it is, is a movie of the las Vegas shows this song is in that movie live and rehearsal versions along with many other great songs and behind the scenes footage I can't wait for you to do a reaction to it along with elvis on tour, wich is a film of elvis mid 70s around the us tour again with behind the scenes

You actually can see him perform Words live in Las Vegas 1970 yes it was filmed and you can also watch the studio rehearsal video aswell. You really ought to make a double reaction of the both filmed versions above, start with the studio rehearsal.

Seph this song has a video, and it has high image and audio quality. And if you look, you'll also find videos of the music rehearsals for the show. It was a movie for the cinema in 1970....

Very difficult task to sort out these songs. He's doing 1969, I think the rehearsal version, which I think is 1970?, is even better. I don't know if he'll do that one too.

An Elvis favorite for sure. The melody reminds me very much of a classical song that I cannot put my finger on. Love it. Elvis is fantastic singing this.

Stop making us jealous! 1970! IMO he was at his peak both vocally and visually.🤣🤣How you survived that I don't know - cuz for sure if I had seen him live in 1970 - that would have been my funeral day. My epitaph: On this day she died a happy woman, she saw Elvis live, and died right there in her chair.

Yessss BeeGees It came out in 1968 They performed it on The Ed Sullivan Show too! I LOVE This Song By Elvis!!!!!! Funny, My 28 Year old LOVES The BeeGee's !!!!! and ME OF COURSE ITS ALL THE WAY ELVIS!!!!!! THAT'S THE IMPERIALS AND THE SWEET INSPIRATIONS BACKING ELVIS UP!!!!!! Absolutely beautiful rendition of "Words" by Elvis! A lot of singers cover popular songs but they tend to copy the same version, whereas Elvis was an original, he recreated the song to be his own. I absolutely love the incredibly talented Bee Gees Seph, so there will be NO comparisons from where I sit. Thanks for another entertaining reaction Seph 👍😄❤️

Love this song by Elvis - it's amongst my favourites at the moment - there is film of him singing this but it is from That's The Way It Is from 1970, there is definitely rehearsal footage but not sure if there is film of him singing live on stage 👑⚡⭐

You should see the rehearsal of this song, he is with the "Sweets". And talked to them a lot. It is in Vegas 1970. What fun his rehearsals are he laughs a lot. You'd love seeing the casual Elvis, and of course he looks Gorgeous. Thanks

Elvis’ version almost makes you forget how great the BeeGees version was! Back then, everyone (whether in concert or on a tv variety show) did the top hits of the day. It may have been Elvis, Sinatra, Andy Williams, Steve Lawrence, or any big star - they all sang the top 40 Hit-parade songs.

Sometimes seeing Elvis perform can distract from how good he sings. This was my experience here. I first heard this song with this version before I ever was aware the Bee Gees first released it. I heard it in 1977 the night he died when all the radio stations in the U.S. played Elvis all day and night. What an impression. In addition to James's guitar I thought the Sweet Inspirations added a soulful, mystical quality. I respect the Bee Gees but Elvis blew their version out of the water.

Seph you could have seen it. The performance is right here on KZfaq Elvis Presley Words Las Vegas 1970. I don't know how you do it, I would never put this in a C. I'm so in love with Elvis that all his songs would be an A or S lol. Well, with some exceptions especially from his movies. However, it's not just that he is beautiful but I love his songs and arrangements.

Words was written by Barry Gibb in 1968. Beautiful ballad. EP of course put his "Elvis" stamp on it, and it sounds great. I really like his version a lot. Nice reaction too Seph.

Ohhh another one I love today!! He did an amazing job on this Bee Gees song. (Love The Bee Gees too- grew up with their disco hits). There’s a great video clip of Elvis rehearsing this song with his group of musicians!! And of course a live clip in Vegas too. A must see!! ❤

Bee Gees wrote and recorded it. Andy Gibb, Bee Gees younger brother performed it live also for Ronald Reagan. He's wearing a black tuxedo. It's amazing how much he looks and sounds like Barry.

This song is a 1968 Bee Gees song written by all 3 brothers that was to be Barry Gibb's signature song in concerts. As a Bee gees fan i have to say (i know this will not go well with Elvis fans) that this version is way too rushed for me. It seems to me that Elvis at some points in the song let the words stumble over eachother. If you on the other hand listen to The Bee Gees original version, it is quite slower and their live versions are even slower. This is done on purpose to let Barry interact with the audience during the song, especially in the end where the last line in sung without instruments. A good example is from the 1997 live recording from the One Night Only concert in Las Vegas, unfortunately many of the clips on youtube has cut out the last line. Just forgot to mention, possibly the best cover of this song is done by their own brother Andy Gibb. He sings itexactly as it was intended and even slower than Barry. Check it out. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rc2els-jya2ZgGQ.html It is a bit scary how much he looks and sound like Barry in this clip.

Hey, Seph. How's it goin'? Thanks for two Elvis reactions today! There are actually a couple live performances of this song (Aug. 10th & 12th, 1970) that are available to watch as well as a couple 1970 rehearsals. "That's the Way It Is" (a musical documentary) was filmed in August of 1970 so you can treat yourself to quite a few live performances if you wish. I hope you haven't forgotten about the '68 Comeback Special. You've heard the studio versions of most of the songs, but I'm positive you haven't heard "Tigerman", and it's a great live performance.
