Beef is an American comedy-drama television series created by Lee Sung Jin for Netflix. It stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong as two people whose involvement in a road rage incident begins to consume their lives. Appearing in supporting roles are Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Patti Yasutake.
Beef was released on Netflix on April 6, 2023, to acclaim from critics who praised Yeun and Wong's performances, as well as the writing and directing.

It’s weird because this show has rung popular with both the critics AND the fans. It was the number two show on Netflix last time I checked, I think it might’ve been number 1 for a short time even. And the critic reviews are all high. So both ends of the spectrum are finding this show. It’s literally just the KZfaq crowd that’s not. As for why that is, I don’t know, maybe it’s because it’s not a “high concept” big sci fi or fantasy premise, so KZfaqrs (besides these guys of course) aren’t checking it out. Their loss though, show is great and they’re passing up clicks by missing out.

Nothings buried under the ground, it represents the feeling that Danny and Amy mention throughout the show. The ground feeling.

I will say, you guys are kinda missing the point of the whole cutting to dirt thing. There's nothing buried under there, it's to show Amy and Danny's depression despite getting everything they wanted. I can't remember which episode, it might've even been the one before this one, but Amy tells George about a feeling she has, "like the ground, but right here [motioning to her chest]", and the constant cuts to the ground are supposed to represent that feeling. It also serves to draw more similarities between the two.

well it's easy to miss that point because of the suspenseful way it was presented. same as the cut from danny's car to the bushes, which looked like someone was watching him from the dark. i guess it was intentional but yeah as a viewer lead me to a lot of thinking and set the story up for the following episodes

I thought he was stealing from another construction (with permission from the contractor) to use on the church's remodeling whilst pocketing the material costs from the church's loan?

Idk if you guys missed Naomi saying "sister-in-law to fiancee" but i was shocked how casually it was dropped in when i watched the show lol. Danny was actually the first one to call his brother a child, and Amy just responded "you're the reason". But he only brought it up to Paul to distract him from asking more about the "business". Everyone in this is toxic and fascinating. The only fully innocent characters are June and Luca lol. The ending of this ep and the next really devastated me.

For me, I took the child line from Danny as “I can’t imagine you’d cheat, knowing you have June.” But Amy turned the tables onto Danny by comparing Paul to a child. A lil play on words if u will

Can’t wait for the rest of the reactions from y’all! It’s a great show and everyone plays their roles so well. Really love the brother vibes between Paul and Danny, really makes me think about me and my own brother. Like do I do right by him? Am I the right role model for him, or am I the right person for him to follow and look up to?

Been waiting on this reaction since watching the episode last night! ❤ Loving the show and this style of reaction! I definitely got heavy Season 2 vibes from the fast-forward but I love that because I could FEEL the progress both Amy & Danny made. I wish they’d both be honest and stop manipulating the people doomed to love them. 🤦🏽♀️ But Amy and Danny are dumpster fires in human form. 😂 Love ‘em but the truth is the truth!

The 'i love you' is worse than cheating aint it. In this context Amy had so many chances to do the right thing, from the text saying to come over till before they had sex. George is an imbecile that needs validation, so he ain't as bad as a lot of the characters in this show. I think a lot of Amy's wickedness has been plastered over in your experience watching it, but that's what makes for good reactions. Enjoying it!

For some people, the emotional ties are worse than the physical ones. It's all the same to me but I can understand why he said it lol not in this context necessarily but in general.

The "divine twin" that was mentioned might be between the two main characters. You'll see this in ep 10, but I have a hunch the writers were foreshadowing what they always needed, yet never met.

I dont get the hype for this series . Its entertaining to some extent but this series has way too many logical plotholes and the main primary story itself feels too wafer thin .After a couple of episodes some of the things starts to become too redundant or silly even conisdering the fact that some of it is a comedy.There are better series out there that people are sleeping on
