INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp cooking oil
2 lbs thin beef steak
1 small onion
3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp granulated garlic powder
1 tsp granulated onion powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 (14.5 oz cans) beef broth
*salt and pepper to taste
12 oz bag of frozen vegetables
1 can of 8 flaky biscuits
2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter
parsley for garnish

My dad a recipe like this when I was young. He just called it beef stew. The biscuits were brushed with butter and sprinkled with garlic salt before baking. Thanks for taking me back to my childhood with this one! 😊

I suggested to someone to make their pot pie with a biscuit crust and watching this was great! Maybe next time you could try homemade drop biscuits on top, better blend and coverage of the pot pie 👍thanks for sharing!

Hey thanks for this. It would be easy to use unsalted stock and garlic powder then salt after the flour mixture is made into gravy. Very practical and obviously delicious recipe! Thanks again!

I need the UK 🇬🇧 to have ready made biscuit dough 😫 I do this very similar but more of a stew with turnips carrot swede peas and lovely fluffy dumplings on the bottom and crispy on the top, I also add herbs to my dumpling wet mix to match the type of meat I use

Small cubes of potatoes would have been really good and not too much trouble. About the size of the cubed carrots or a little larger maybe.

Might it be okay to substitute the beef for cubbed or shredded chicken ….would I need to use chicken stock instead huh? 🤔 Thanks for sharing it looks so delicious wish I want allergic to beef. I too love Fall for the heartier dishes and soups…all things comforting!!! 😋
