Hamburger Helper was a staple in my house growing up and my mom always served the stroganoff with mushrooms, topped with sour cream and french fried onions.. so good and defiantly a comfort food to me as well.

I've never really ever tried hamburger helper despite seeing it on store shelfs for most of my life but honestly every time you talk about it and eat it you sell me every time on it that hamburger helper is some good stuff. omg, i love hamburger helper when its made right, i always get the frekkin deluxe cheeseburger one which has big macaronis and tons of cheese. you can literally spice your beef however u want or even add things other than beef :)

When I ground the beef, I add bell peppers and onions, drain the fat and then add spinach, mushrooms and paprika and add the rest of the box ingredients and cook until done. Add some sour cream at the end and serve with garlic bread. A great cheap meal

Mmm... It looks so yummy! You can cook the round onion until it is caramelize than add ground beef and add one hot spicy green or red chili which would give a nice kick to a meal.. Russian people use a lot of sour cream in their delicious dishes.

I don't ever use ground mince/mince meat in mine. I only ever use actual beef pieces. Sometimes diced beef and sometimes stir-fry beef.
