Im falling in love with this underrated PC. It has several moods: jolly, somber, relaxed, mature, sweet, peaceful, daring, majestic and youthful. ABM dives deep into the piece with keen insights. He accomplishes his goal with the help of the great conductor and the superb VPO. May the two maestros rest in peace.

What could be more obvious than to believe that such a thing is possible, even necessary, in the field of music when it reaches the sublime with Giulini and Michelangeli. The expression here is somehow "outlaw" to communicate the musical imagination. The orchestra responds to the piano in such a way that they meet in the unique manner of blending the intellect and the sensory in this performance. Thanks to The Gold Piano for this video !

Me too except it was 2 weeks ago (about early November, 2018). One famous conductor expressed this idea:(Arturo B. Michelangeli) "Conducts" the piano! There is strong fidelity to a steady musical speed with appropriate ritardando when called for. He brings out the melody and obligato very clearly. Hurry up you Physicists out there: invent the Time Machine so I can see this great artist with my own two eyes!!

Not Wiener Philharmoniker but Wiener Symphoniker(Vienna Symphony Orchestra). Carlo Maria Giulini was chief conductor of Vienna Symphony from 1973 to 1976.
