The Wens aren't aristocrats but their wealth still makes them a powerful family, so Yu would have had significant backers from his mother's side of the family. Concubine Qin, on the other hand, was sold into the Xu family, so she has no one to back her. It wasn't enough that the GM took her choice away...she also made her barren after giving her a drug to make her miscarry. If she would've put in the effort to get to know Lingyi maybe things would've been different...she lived a miserable life because of her low status... but losing the ability to make decisions for yourself is a fate worse than death. In the end she earned her karma for all the things she did to get back at the GM/Lingyi. Her bitterness and hatred took her down a dark path that destroyed her in the end.

其實在古代，富人即便未娶妻，妾室和通房的孩子通常都會留下的。古代醫療並不發達，孩子的夭折率高。即便婦人懷孕能否順利延下也是未知之數。更何況如果嫡妻不孕或只生女兒也是沒繼承人。所以通常都會留下，特別是富人和世家

原著小說寫的像紅樓夢幾個大家族至少有三房，人物眾多小說描寫了很多古代的生活如:婚禮、生辰、很多細節對衣著、服飾、身上的配件都描寫的很祥細，很可惜電視劇改編如願意多花點前按原著拍應該很精彩，女主角是穿越所以有現代人的思考
