I'm talking about recent changes in Dubai. Especially about taxes, but also about the lifestyle, residency options and the real estate market.
Dubai started with 0% tax on everything but within the last years, they changed a lot about their tax system, so I wanted to make this objective video for you.
I'm not saying Dubai is a "bad" choice, I just want to say my honest opinion about Dubai, because I haven't seen anyone do it before.
At the end, I will also reveal where I decided to live and why I chose this country over Dubai.
Dubai implemented taxation and more strict rules, so definitely make sure to watch this video until the very end!

Where is it written that for the 90d UAE tax residency you are not allowed to be tax resident elsewhere?

That's common sense. If you're a tax resident elsewhere, you pay taxes there.

@@Rico Not really: you can be tax resident in multiple countries, and you can pay different types taxes in different countries depending on what the countries' respective DTA/DTT (Double Taxation Agreement/Treaty) says, if there is one between your two countries, so you could end up paying no tax if the DTA/DTT says that UAE takes priority.

@@sco007 Absolutely true, however that's a whole different topic. It's a fact that Dubai requires you to not be a tax resident elsewhere in order to accept the 90 day rule and it's also a fact that when you're a tax resident anywhere, you're required to file tax statements there, and thus you are required to pay taxes. But then, in many cases double tax treaties apply and can exempt you from many obligations.

Nothing is bullet proof, you just have to adept all the time :( I am looking into company in Hong Kong myself, as its not tax on foreign income.

Free zones are direct tax free. That has not changed at all. Be objective, please.

@@Rico True, nothing is forever and it may change, but right now no direct taxes for that segment. When it changes, we will analyze what is better for the next fiscal year and so on.

I found also zero taxes for Free Zones in UAE. In my case, as a Mercosur citizen (Argentina) it is cheaper and easier to move the business to Uruguay or Paraguay.

Well, for tax reasons. It is 0% for most cases, or extremely low. You can just have the formal structure of your business there, spend some time as resident and save a lot in your taxes.
