So excellent a speech. I could see how effective when we jealous of other's achievements. Making ourselves better every day is setting others' victories as our goals. Jealous in a joy, envious in a positive way, look around to see where we are in this society and continue improving yourself every day.

It not only let you know what you are capable of and not, and help you realize what you are missing points. These are the major factors for people who want to improve themself to a higher standard Her road to be a professional model is highly inspired me. She also display good personality traits I had watched her video countless time on repeated. I think what she means is the mindset to never settle, always compare ourself with people, to look up good examples and even have a gut to be better. And competition is essential to our society development imo. Let alone unfair competition, everyone should have the will to make things better and dare to compete with other. It will drive us all to bright future.

Jealousy itself is a negative word. Instead, guide our children to be inspired and motivated by other's success. At the same time, teach them to stay humble with their success and not doing things that may trigger others' jealousy. Stop being jealous; be inspired and stay humble! Happy New Year to all!
@makemusicwithmian1668
@makemusicwithmian1668 3 жыл бұрын
I can understand where you were coming from with the negative meaning of the word is already widely interpreted by society. We can always choose to see the world, not just for its definition alone, but also the agree that envy and/or jealousy. A word can also be interpreted differently in; positive way. The feeling that attaches to it can be unpleasant. But if you listen carefully to how she dealt with that uneasy feeling by shifting her perspective, you will realize that feeling isn't always that bad. I also agreed with Linh about how she had a different thought about jealousy itself. In her speech, she's offering a new perspective if you followed through with her story to the end. She meant to say that there is nothing wrong with how we feel, but rather how we choose to see them feeling because sooner or later, we will have to decide how to act out of such feeling in which way pays us fewer expenses in the future. I think we are all thriving to be better versions of ourselves. Therefore we are competitive by nature. Some choose to compete with others, while others compete with themselves. And feeling jealousy or envy of someone or something is inevitable. Those feelings by human nature are not easy to deal with when we negatively perceive them. They can be parts of our personalities that we don't want to accept that we do possess those traits as human beings. I can't argue that envy and/or jealousy: wanting what we wish to have for ourselves, that we yet to have; Those feelings by human nature are dominantly negative to experience. But what if those feelings are also parts of our personalities as human beings. Things that we often deny to accept that we all are, and we all have? By seeing jealousy and/or envy in another light: joyful jealousy is a way to view the feeling in alternative ways, being joyful jealousy, in the other word, seeing the goods in the bad in such feeling, it can be a motivation for any one of us to start acting out differently to be better, grow better. Self-improvement begins when we accept that we are both bad and good, and feeling jealousy of something or someone is OK. Only with full self-acceptance, the journey of self-improvement can get a set go. Just an opinion, peace! Happy new year!

As a young girl from the mountains she is naturally shy and kinda introverted. I think on this side she represents people from community very well (no offense). But this doesnt stop her from achieving further and thats why we have her on Tedx stage today 👍

Nervousness is normal during public speaking which can be contributed by a lot of factors. The most important is her story which is very real and inspirational. It is a good guidance for the youth to stay focus on your path and make your dream come true rather than only comparing yourself to someone else without making any changes in life.

@@unfortunatedestiny7424 It is not a hard topic, indeed.The most crucial thing is how she presented her speech in front of the audience. A difficult topic of Ted is usually about renovation, which needs so many technical words. Besides, a Ted speech often lasts about 20 minutes or more. Can you evaluate her speech fairly?
