you have just explained how I sort my tunes hehe i keep my tunes in seprate genre folders with key and energy tags but I also use Rekordbox as my music manager and I find the colour code my tracks too just to know how I think that track feels ranging from deep to full on uplifting :)

Also about mixing in key and the Camelot wheel, I at times will do a "skip 2" and and a "Skip 7" And what I mean by that is for example, I play a tune in 7A (D minor) and don't have a "compatible" track in 8A (A minor). So I skip over to 9A (E minor). Now I say this with a caveat. I can fade in the 9A track that has a minimal intro (drums, some bass line). I will mix out the bass on the 9A side and then like say on bar 17, switch the bass knobs around, giving the listeners the 9A bass line, cut the bass on the track being faded out and begin to fade out the 7A track. There is a potential of a "clash" if this technique is not done correctly. Practice that beforehand. :) "Skip 7" Again using 7A (D minor) as an example going clockwise to 3A (Eb minor). Again, the potential of clashing is high so I pay attention to the instrumentation and fade out all the way to the new track when the time is right. I can also go counterclockwise using Skip 2 or Skip 7 to take things deeper and mellower... but I very seldom do that. Care to elaborate on this, Ellaskins?
