I shoot high school basketball I have a canon 90 D, my first lens was a canon 50 mm 1.8 and now I have Canon 24-70 mm f4 and I shoot video with that i’m really trying to learn how to shoot video and photos with the tools that I do have your input will really means a lot. Thank you.

That’s the right mindset to have. Until you’re able to upgrade to a faster lens continue using what you got . As for what settings you should use, if you’re shooting sports that already tells me that you need to make sure that your shutter speed is high enough to capture fast moving subjects/objects. Depending on the lighting conditions where you’re shooting will dictate how high or low your SS is . With that said, I think for sports a safe starting point would be anywhere between 300-500. This will make your image darker so you’ll with need to use a lower aperture (50mm f/1.8) or bump your ISO up to a healthy point. This might introduce some grain into your images, but your photo will be properly exposed. It’s all about compensating for each adjustment.
