Join me for a 10 minute beginners pilates workout. This is part 3 of my Pilates foundation sessions, have you watched parts 1 & 2 yet? It will really help you if you start with them first as this is all about giving you the tools you need to understand your body and get the most out of my online classes. In this video I take you through the very first steps in practicing Pilates - perfect for absolute beginners or anyone who wants to ensure they have a solid foundation for their Pilates workouts. Have done all 4 videos, will repeat until I get better. Many thanks for these videos well described and can keep up with you,some are far too fast.

I have been trying the "Beginners Pilates class" training in 4 parts. Part 1 and 2 going great, part 3 is a bit challenging for me when I have to put my legs out , doing the back work. Is there something I can do in this section that might be easier? I am having trouble with keeping my feet on the ground in this position while doing the exercise. I have looked ahead to part 4 and that looks completely doable. I am only having trouble with this one position. Love the routine, by the way.

In the exercise where i have to rotate with my hand was uncomfortable for my back and i could not make them all the way

The first two exercises with knees bent and let’s apart is very uncomfortable for me. Many not enough hip flexibility?

Hello Lisa, yes good observation, it does sound like you have very tight hip flexors so a programme of gentle stretches for your hips would be good for you. My Pilates Deep Stretch and Core Workout would be good for you to do: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q62WopthsrDFgGQ.html CanI recommend at least twice a week in addition to this workout and see how you feel in three weeks time.
