Learn to purl with Merion in this easy to follow video for beginners! The purl stitch is an essential component of most knitting patterns, for stocking stitch/stockinette, for ribbing and for some of our favourite textured stitches. Once you can knit and purl, you can take on the knitting world and knit anything you like!

I used to knit a lot in my teens, but have not knitted for years, and am now 65 years young! So I am knitting a scalf for myself for starters, in lovely soft big knit, colour is a rusty colour and then a mustard colour. xxx

After all these years as a left handed crocheter I found that in knitting I am right handed Thank you for demonstrating this your calm and soft voice gave me the confidence to start knitting again and will start with caps/ beanies nothing overwhelming I’m 60 and totally better with my right figures since I can write with either hand

This is insane. I'm a crochet maker and designer and I don't remember having so many difficulties learning how to crochet. I feel clumsy with knitting, it's impossible! 🥲🥲🥲
