Is there any reason you referred to the “E” position from the CAGED system as first position and not the “G” position since uses open strings?

Hi Jason... Good point well made. The simple answer is that it is easier to play this shape in G as you don't have to use open strings, which can make it harder to visualise the shape an how to move it. You can absolutely use it though if you know it!

is there any solution where i'm having problem picking the right string? i fret a string and usually end up picking the wrong string

As a beginner myself I am finding it easier day by day as I practice this slowly. Also try to look at your picking hand at the beginning so you're picking the right string. With time it is supposed to come naturally as long as you do it correctly at the beginning stages (that's what everyone has told me so far). How did you do? Did you finally develop the correct picking accuracy?
