I have a question.. .i'm confused about cast on, because many do different way of cast on. But what I'm trying to understand it's that I saw a type of cast on that one can cast on stitches without involving the 'tail' . I have a pattern that says 'cast on 14 sts and leave a long tail for sewing". So I need to not 'use' the long tail, and cast on the stitches with the working yarn. I'm sure that once I saw someone to knit by using only the working yarn and not using the tail.. how can be done? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hello! I found you when I had lifted increases in a pattern I’m following. I’ve been knitting for a few years now, but I’ve only made baby blankets with no patterns, just plain ole knit and purl, using the drop method (yarn). I’ve been a very good crochet”r. I started when I was 5 and I’m 40+ years older now. So anyways,, to my question... when I started with this new pattern I found many videos on casting on, I looked because the old way takes too much time. Sadly I didn’t find you until farther down in my project. You have the tail of the yarn hanging down the front, or right of the needle, all the other videos I had found had it the other way. I see the it works both ways, what are the advantages for either way? This cast on would also count as a first row of knitted stitches in some cases, but does it change that if the yarn is casted on the way you’ve done? I’m sorry ... I’m rambling. Your videos are great!

MERRY CHRISTMAS. Please may I know if you have time to do a video on a V neck sweater was well as picking up and knitting the middle stitch. I have watched other videos on KZfaq but they are annoying.😬😬 For a 5min video there's at least 20min blabla and the tutorial is rushed. OR there's NO closeup and the knitting is too far from the camera. In fact they don't seem to be concerned about beginners Most of them are in Hindi...but I put it on mute no closeups either.
