This is just a small look behind the scenes at Judge Judy. It also includes an interview with Judith Sheindlin who's been on the air with the show since 1996.

+Devon Nybo, I watch her for hours at a time, too. One of the reasons that I love her so much is because she's not afraid to put deserving people in their place. There are WAY too many users and abusers today who think they're entitled to do and have anything they want. Some people live to shit on others and she can pick them out a mile away!!

Yeah I noticed that too I think it’s pretty cool if she wears jeans but sometimes as she’s getting older I think her just wants her off. Are used to watch Judge Judy now I think she’s just I’m getting impatient and rude I am not taking time to hear the cases. We’ll see how her no showed does. She enjoys doing it And doesn’t need the money so she worked her way up to the top. I find it interesting that people bicker over hundreds of dollars when I had over $40,000 stolen from me and it would cost me 35,000 in lawyers to try to get my money back. This is just a game show but it has taught me a lot about contracts

Am I the only one that's absolutely positively fascinated with this person? I mean, wow, she's brilliant yet simplistic in her thinking, She forces one to think realistically just by her targeted questions. She's a truth machine and can pull the truth out of you in a second. And one main thing I love about her is that she absolutely gives you 100% respect when you are truthful and honest with her. I am a fan forever, and I thank her for always being consistent. By watching her show, it has truly helped me to be a better person, smarter and sharper in my thinking and my relationship with others.

Amjad Michael Khan Often she is what you say, but I've seen her make a serious mistake or two. Sometimes what makes sense to her, in the environment she's used to, isn't what makes sense in a litigant's life. And I do wish she'd explain the law more clearly. People often complain she never heard their case. They're wrong: She always hears enough of the case to make a legal decision. What a legal layman may feel is relevant very often is not. But she usually doesn't bother to explain this. Not that she's obligated to, but it would make the show rather more educational than it is. She _does_ have a nasty habit of ignoring statutes in a litigant's jurisdiction, something no actual sitting judge can get away with, preferring to rule from common law and general legal principles. Here, although she's in judge's robes and in a set made to look like a courtroom, she's really acting as an arbitrator, and arbitrators have much more leeway in their decision making.

James must he calm down because he is passionate about something? I actually agree totally with him,I feel the same way towards this judge

I love Judge Judy and Byrd. They are the perfect duo that are knowing what the other is thinking long before they say it. I appreciate her no nonsense values and ability to call it like it is. My favorite thing she says often is I don't care about your feelings I care about facts. People all about thinking their feelings matter to everyone else can't seem to make another thought in their mind while processing the fact their feelings don't matter. I say we need far more people like her in this world as it would end the nonsense of people thinking their feelings given laws and all should bow down to what makes them feel better. They'd get a fast lesson that everyone has feelings and life doesn't revolve around one person alone. She's a one in a million lady

When the staff contacted my husband about having our case arbitrated on Judge Judy, I ignored several red flags I initially felt regarding the integrity of the show. My first mistake was to ignore the gag order litigants had to sign prohibiting them from posting their experiences on any form of social media. Is Judge Judy really so afraid people will expose her for the fraud she is? The second was her representative’s refusal to disclose any information regarding the defendant’s defense so that we could prepare properly for our hearing. As it turned out, no preparation was necessary on our part because Judge Judy had decided our case without actually hearing it. Judge Judy did a grave injustice to my family on so many levels, with each adding to the already unbearable pain we felt upon our son’s death. It can’t be the only time this has happened-probably many times over with other litigants. She really had no interest in actually seeking truth and justice as long as the pretense allowed her to appear intelligent, decisive, and witty, even when she most assuredly was not. I understand now why her audience consists of paid actors. Like the litigants, a real audience would see her for the duplicitous woman she is and her search-for-justice facade would crumble. They would soon realize that Judge Judy is acting for the television cameras only. This travesty of justice would have been bad enough if we had sought Judge Judy out, but her people came to us, promising a fair, impartial hearing and not the charade that we were subjected to instead. Since I cannot undo the terrible injustice she did to us in failing to return our son’s personal property, I will continue to share my experience in as many far-reaching media forums as possible. You know what they say about a woman scorned!
