Same here. One of my all time favorite movies and soundtracks. Now it’s one of my 9 year old daughters favorite movies. I had to buy it on iTunes so we could watch it on a plane to visit my mom in Florida and she fell in love with it. She had the same trance like look I did when I heard “Nowhere Fast” and seeing a young hot Diane Lane for the first time. I heard the man who wrote the script for this passed recently. Shame.

A timeless classic, the first viewing was after it was released but I remember everything from the Walter Hill masterpiece. I just purchased the 4K and let me tell you it’s absolutely beautiful and again timeless it just doesn’t get old. Let’s not forget Rick Moranis and Devoe simply iconic. Kinda glad box office was not great as they may have pushed a part 2 which would’ve been sacrilege. Thanks for the great vid !✌️

Because he's the only one who's had a long and successful career. Michael Pare never really caught on Diane Lane sunk into obscurity for years. The 2 supporting actors, Rick Moranis and Amy Madigan retired early for family reasons I think. They were really pushing Michael Pare in the 80s as another James Dean but I always though he was kind of unmemorable. It was Dafoe who made you sit up in the theater and think, "who is *that* guy?"

We were a generation without a voice or a vote, the critics buried this excellent film and did not allow the sequels to be made. You should investigate who the critics were because I have never heard a bad review from viewers. These critics robbed us of the pleasure of enjoying the following films. My opinion is that they were merciless with it because they did not receive bribes to criticize it well, since it is a rock jewel and an excellent movie.

But I’m sorry because I disagree with you in some cases - we’re not in the movie business but what we’re supposed to be doing is focus on our own roots and nothing else. For some reason I’m going to see different pictures and know what it’s like to be. And after that I’m done with everything I’ve been going through over the years so you do better start getting yourself together because nobody’s going to help you anymore. You’re all on your own - right here, right now. Do what you really think is right.

i liked this movie, then and now. I would like to have seen more movies from this cinematic universe like the two sequels that were originally planned. It might have been cool to mix-and--match the crews from "The Warriors" into this world as well - imagine the Gramercy Riffs as a force in this world. It was disappointing to read about this movie and the way the producers disowned it and threw Pare and others to the wolves when it didn't quite catch. Chalk it up to two junior producers trying to claw their way out of a disappointing (but visionary and interesting) effort but I hope it's a regret for them.

Gracias, Walter Hill!...Gracias Chicos. Abrazos a Todos..."

Everyone speaks about Diane Lane and I can definitely understand that ;-) But am I the only one with a crush for Deborah van Valkenburgh who plays Tom Cody's sister ? I find her so sweet and charming in this movie.
