Julie Andrews is just the epitome of grace. She can sit and read a newspaper and look elegant and refined and beautiful. Such an amazing cast on this movie and truly one of my all-time favorites.

Absolutely! She always was the epitome of the graceful and sophisticated English lady. Is firm, blunt and reserved with such striking and complex choices of words but is kind and loving at her core.

Glynis Johns passed away in January, 2024. She played the role of Winifred Banks and I do not think any other actress could have been better than Ms. Johns. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Banks.

The Sherman brothers, Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke and Walt Disney makes this movie Practically Perfect in every way. But with help from Robert Stevenson, Bill Walsh and Don DaGradi and others should be very credited for bringing this movie to life and screw P.L. Travers.

Ah but she did create the characters so the film wouldn't have existed without her. But I agree that the Disney touch made this a brilliant film. (even if from the age of about five my favourite character was Mr. Banks...)

They don’t speak to each other, but they are in the same scene when Mary Poppins convinces Mr. Banks to take the children to the bank.

They're not all ladies some are men in drag apparently there wasn't enough female extras for the scene so they recruited a bunch of guys.
