Join me for a day in the life of a full-time content creator! In this video, you'll get an inside look at what it takes to create one of my "TikTok Wrapped" videos from start to finish. From brainstorming ideas to filming and editing, you'll get a look behind the scenes at what a typical day looks like at my office!
In this video, I also will be teaching you how to make Dalgona Coffee, (which was viral in the height of 2020 TikTok) Cloud Bread, and Mini Pancake Cereal!
If you're interested in learning more about the life of a full-time content creator or just want to see what goes into making of short and long form content, then this video is for you!

I love the silence of snow…how it absorbs sound and makes the air so sharp and clear. Growing up in a very industrial area near London I always appreciated the sudden onset of quiet, a bright white view out of the window instead of the perpetual grey, and like you, the opportunity to slow down and hibernate. Wearing layers and sleeping under extra blankets always felt so comforting compared to the uncomfortable heat of summer. It makes me feel sad that we rarely get thick snow anymore 😞 It’s nice to see someone who gets as excited to see snow as I do 😀

Elyse, I was recently diagnosed with adhd at 38 years old and have spent a lot of time learning more about my brain and trying to forgive myself for past actions. When you said “that’s just how my brain works” it resonated with me in a way that nearly brought me to tears. Thank you for being you ❤

“Hyperfocus” is just a negative framing of “flow,” which outside of the pathology paradigm of neurodivergence is generally considered not just a good thing, but a crucial part of creativity.

Hyperfocus is an accurate description of what happens when all our energy is focusing on one task at a time. It's not negative terminology.
@Jeparad
@Jeparad Жыл бұрын
It's frequently negative for me! I hyperfocus on something that is 'too messy' and deep clean something rather than sleep or shower or eat😅 people say hyperfixate.. but that seems the same to me?
@marie-evecarriere7407
@marie-evecarriere7407 Жыл бұрын
ADHD hyperfocus is different than flow, it's being fixated and stuck on something and you can't make yourself break away and do something else. It's an accelerated and dysregulated overuse of energy in a relatively short time, it can often lead to a big energy crash and burnout over time.
@MeTalkPrettyOneDay
@MeTalkPrettyOneDay Жыл бұрын
While I've done some great work while hyperfocusing/hyperfixating, it can also be dangerous. I can forget to eat or sleep because nothing is more important than the thing I'm doing. It is responsible for some of my biggest highs and lows. To me it is neither good nor bad -- just a factor of my life.

Hi Elyse! I loved when you chose to counter your negative self talk. instead of saying, "I'm going to spend the whole day cooking and nobody is going to see this", you said something like "the video is gonna be great and everyone is gonna love it!" Taking your initial negative thoughts and reframing them into "positive" ones is great! I do have a couple of ideas, for if you wanted to dig a little deeper. And that would be to acknowledge and accept that you cannot know how your video will be received by others. It could be great, and everyone will love it! It could also be a video that simply doesn't get as much traction or attention as some of your other videos. BUT you won't know until it happens, and you can't control it. What you *do* know is that you will have a good time making it, you will learn something new, you will be growing in your creativity, you will feel proud of yourself once you're finished (etc. etc... could be any number of things tbh). Just some stuff I've learned in DBT. Anyway, I just got to the end and I loved your video! Thanks for all that you do. Your videos and shorts really do make my days brighter.

Yesssssss. The rest that the snow brings is similar to the rest I feel with the end of daylight savings. I actually love the darkness in the winter, which i know others hate. But as someone with adhd it brings more calm for my body than the summer when the sun is up until 9:45…..I need the darkness to signal to slow down and be still
