Takes me back to my Roland 100m days, although I had the separate dual modules rather than the synth voice. You certainly get some great sounds out of it 👍

nice to see MFB modules in folks setups - they were one of the companies i looked at when i was getting into modular.

They had a pretty straightforward concept and were cheap. Sad that MFB dropped the modular stuff.

@@synthesizer83 Hello. I need a bit of guidance. I recently finished building my Behringer dual rack Modular. You have the Behringer 110 but i have 112, 121 & 130. is it better to have all 3 modules than have all 3 in 1 module like the Behringer 110 ?? Thank you .

@@thepcgamer2169separate modules are definitely better in that you've got more flexibility with separate modules, as well as some features that the 110 doesn't have - the only thing you're trading off is space in your rack. But you also have two voices.

Thanks for this video. The 110 looks like it will be my first module. I've been using my Roland AE-30 with my Neutron and judging from this video and others the 110 looks like it will be a good addition.

I love that old 70s Roland sound. It's full of flared jeans, corduroy jackets, handlebar moustaches and long hair, all smothered in a thick layer of brown. Now, where did I put my bri-nylon shirts!

I notice that all your recent Behringer videos have a rich, valve-like tone to them. I would be grateful if you could share whether this is this something in the analogue chain, or done in post?

I often use the Strymon Flint for some reverb, guess that's what you hear here

Hey! Great videos, man. 👏 I have an issue when i patch the OSC out, there is a sudden drop of audio in the normalled connection (very brief but annoying). Did you notice this? Maybe it’s just my unit...

Same here, the normalled connection breaks for a short moment when I plug the cable in. I guess it's due to the momentary short circuit when plugging the mini jack connection and also missing buffering of the output and the normalled connection.

Great demo! I was wondering...how did you patch the saturated demo? Another vco into the filter? took the vco out and drive it outside the module?

Yes it's a second VCO into the filter. Nice thing about the System 100 modules is that they saturate easily when you crank the audio inputs up.

Hello, since the VCA is AC coupled, how does one modulate CV signals in a pure 100m system? Is it possible using the 297 module somehow?

There is basically no way to modulate CV signals in the System 100 (at least the Behringer one, don't know if the real one featured dc coupled VCAs). The 297 is a cv mixer / portamento, but has no VCAs. Even the ring modulator in the 150 is AC coupled.

hi, great video. which would you recommend between the 110 and the filtamp?

Hi! The 110 is a full voice, the FiltAmp is just filter + amplifier, so no sound source. There is no Synthvoice in the 2500 series from Behringer (in the original from Arp there is one, by the way...). So I guess the 110 would be a good starting point as it gives you all pieces you need for a synth voice (except for envelope, lfo, etc., but the 110 has the full audio path).

@@synthesizer83 i didnt explain myself well. i was refering to the vcf, vca part in both. i know the 110 has also a vco. it is not a starting point, in fact is one the last modules i will be buying. i need a vcf/vca combo for my live case and im deciding which one
