What is the requirement of that clearane between the upper cone seat and the mast??
@pablolinares93603 жыл бұрын
Hello, the clearance will be when you turn loose the main rotor nut and either option will be ok by Bell so the upper cone set will not touch the mast. If you are asking me a number, there is none. Also if there is a number it is impossible to measure it. I hope this answer your question. Regards, Pablo

@@pablolinares9360 thank you very much , but it raises another question that if the cone seat touches the mast , what will happen ? What will be the implications?? Thanks.

@@anirbanbhattacharya2724 Good evening, if you follow the Bell 412 MM and always back up the nut as required in either case you always will have a gap bwtween mast and upper cone seat. Now if dueing torquing you get the holes aligned at the moment you reach 25 ft/lbs and do not back up the nut, then the upper cone seat is touchin the mast. Leaving like this next time you remove the main rotor can have marks in the mast. Most possitive that mast will be scrap then. The limitations for damages in that region are minimal to none. I hope this clarify your concern. Regarda, Pablo
