Bell Super 3R MTB Helmet and 100% Enduro goggles Review Trail Breaker

Күн бұрынI am replacing my Giro mountain bike helmet with the new Bell Super 3R trail helmet with a removable chin bar and MIPS (multi-direction impact protection). I also need goggles and decided to go with the 100% Accuri MX goggle. I really like the way the helmet fits, vents and looks. I've never used goggles so I wanted nice ones that vented well and these are well reviewed. You'll see plenty of these in future videos!

From one guy that refuses to act his age to another, "right on"! Question, How's the ventilation on this helmet? I live where it can be very hot and humid so ventilation is VERY important.

It's really good. I've worn it at 90 degrees (30 c) and it was hot but not too bad. I think it's worth the protection.

I can second that, the ventilation is amazing on these helmets. Best purchase I've made for riding. Had a friend with the same helmet crash and go down straight on the chin bar, cracked the chin bar but he's completely okay.

@@TrailBreaker Man, I hate my Large sized head! Love this helmet but it was just too small. Some large helmets fit me (usually kind of snug) but this one did not - it was really uncomfortable. I am quite bummed.

XC Painter It looks pretty nice. After, I realized all of my MTB and hiking stuff is some version of gray 🥴. At least everything matches 😆👊

Nice goggles, Cut I prefer to have a nose guard on, cus of branches. I got 100% RaceCraft Plus goggles. I got two sets, So I can wash one and let it try, and use the other, I do this with helmet and pads too, but I need new helmets soon.

I just crashed in this a few days ago on a jumps run and cracked the chin bar. It saved my jaw and teeth I'd say - so glad I wore the right gear. I was thinking of buying another in your colour but it looks like that was only a 2020 option cause it wasn't available yet when I got the red/grey/black one and now they have a dull green with no orange detail. I think I may just get a replacement chin bar because the main shell hardly has a scratch on it. I generally don't wear the full thing for uphills due to breathing and drinking but it can be done :)

Johannes Nilsen Yeah, my other helmet I had to zip tie a GoPro adapter for my light. This is so much cleaner

Haha, I wrecked exactly the same Giro helmet just a week ago, plus I broke my collarbone, albeit not so badly ;-) And now I am doing some research to get myself a proper enduro helmet, maybe with a removable chin bar :-)

I refuse to act my age but still like regular helmets. I also like to pair with goggles sometimes, especially on night rides and on dusty dry trail rides.

Great review. Does the helmet have much lateral play when it doesn't have the jaw bone attached?

Thanks! No. When the ratchet on the back is adjusted properly the only play is with the MIPS (which is good). I love this helmet and have been using it almost exclusively with the chin bar attached because it vents so well and is light. I'll only remove it if I'm messing around in a parking lot.

What kind of lights are you using? Did you try to attach a light on 3R helmet? I have already bought one in black color and it fits fantastic!

I have the NiteRider Lumina micro 850 and Lumina 1100 lights. Big on bars and small on helmet. Awesome!

6:11 they do offer a Dh convertible helmet, but this one is not.

100% with clear lenses. Not sure about specific model

No dh rating, I won't buy it, no double D ring buckle I won't buy it. the issue with this type of buckle is it goes out of adjustment a lot, it's annoying, having to adjust it multiple times, that was the case for all half face helmets I have used with this type of buckle. I don't need the Switchable/convertible feature.

BELL Super 3R Mips, toller MTB-Helm mit massivem Qualitätsproblem und uncooperativem Hersteller! ======================= Heute am 24.08.2021 habe ich über meinen Fachhandel, bei welchem ich den Helm gekauft hatte, eine Antwort auf den als Reklamation eingesendeten Helm vom Hersteller BELL erhalten. Antwort: Weil der Helm außerhalb der Garantiezeit ist, stellt BELL keinen Ersatz zur Verfügung und gewährt ebenso keine Kulanz irgendwelcher Art. Auf meine Nachfrage was mit dem Helm passiert ist, bekam ich "kein Kommentar" als Antwort! 🤷♂️ Es war ein schönes Konzept dieser Helm, aber ich werde wohl nie wieder einen BELL Helm kaufen. ☝👎 #BELL #Super3R #Problem kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mMCEg8ly3t3Tp2w.html
