About the Summer I Turned Pretty: Belly Conklin is about to turn 16, and she’s headed to her favorite place in the world, Cousins Beach, to spend the summer with her family and the Fishers. Belly’s grown up a lot over the past year, and she has a feeling that this summer is going to be different than all the summers before. The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on the book by Jenny Han, who is creator and executive producer.

i've watched tsitp season 1 prolly 4 times, and every time this part makes me cry, which is weird bc i never cry especially for shows or movies. i love this scene very much - it definitley has a special place in my heart. aswell as the scene with Belly, Laure, and Steven all crying in Bellys room. and the song choice fits with the emotions and scene so well. i loved season 1, and i'm sure that i will love season 2 just as much.

I cried my eyes out for this scene. Only to have my mother die of cancer a few months later. She died in my arms. We were in denial the whole time. The time I watched this, we didn’t even know she had cancer. She was only sick, but cancer was never a thought. Heartbreaking. Absolutely fucking heartbreaking. I want to screammmmmm

@@Isabella.818btw she doesnt want to do treatment because she already had cancer and it reappeared and she wanted to be herself when she died and she didnt want to deal with treatment again and the survival chances were very small
