yes, I thought the same thing. I have been Team Bonrad since the start especially after reading the books, but now I can see how Jere changes Belly in such a good way. Belly was always the first to help Conrad and mostly sacrified everything even after he hurt her, but it was never the other way around. Jere was the only one that cared for her future and motivated her to attend volleyball camp. With Jere, Belly sees the light at the end of the tunnel again. No matter how hurt Jere was, he still cared. While Conrad cared for the little things, Jere cared for the big ones. It's like if Belly would have stayed with Conrad, she would have always had to sacrifice herself for him, but not with Jere. Belly has a future because of him. Because of Jere she has a passion on her own that she can still persue.

I have to disagree... No healing took place... Belly took a wrong turn towards Jeremiah.. he is just a temporary bump in the road she has to overcome.

@@SK-gb6mn What season did you watch? Compare Belly and Jere at the beginning of the season to the end of the season. They're healing together and both are very happy, whereas at the beginning they were both very broken.

Yes, in the last episode of season 1 after kissing Conrad she brings up Jeremiah pretty soon and says that they kissed and she doesn't want to hurt Jere. She actually then even suggests to hit pause with conrad bc of Jeremiahs feelings... 😢

That’s one of my main arguments when people say Bonrad is better, belly and Conrad don’t communicate their emotions which led to a lot of anger and arguments in their relationship, but Jeremiah and belly aren’t afraid to communicate their emotions which leads to an overall healthier relationship

Susannah loved her boys. She loved Belly. And they all loved her. At the end of the day. it’s not rational to dislike a fictional character so much. This is not a villain type of show. It’s not about abuse or murder. Again it’s about love, family and human beings who make mistakes. I don’t hate Conrad. I don’t think he’s the villain. I think he’s hurting and flawed. I think they’re all hurting and flawed. I really think it’s healthier as a human being to watch this show with a little more of an open mind. Gavin is a real human being who is playing this character. And he doesn’t think he’s playing a villain. He isn’t putting his energy and his heart and soul into playing a villain. I don’t think Chris would agree with you that Jeremiah is the villain. I don’t think Lola would agree with you that Jeremiah is the villain. I really have to wonder with comments like these how much life experience people have. I’ve been married to my soulmate, through sickness and health, for almost 2 decades. When you go through something like that, you learn a lot about love and life. At the end of the day whoever Belly ends up with, I want the family to stay together as a unit and to love each other. I want every character to find happiness and peace. It’s really sad to me to see how toxic and angry some fans are getting over different characters. As someone who almost died of a life-threatening illness, I can say with true lived experience that this show is about appreciating the gift of life and the people you share your life with. It is about overcoming differences, not about making one person or the other a villain, but about truly seeing each other. I also have to wonder what you would say if the actors Gavin and Lola ended up together in real life. Because it’s quite clear that she’s not going to date Chris. I don’t necessarily ship actors because I don’t think that’s fair to put that on them, I just think it would be funny given that people are so divided, and so angry over a fictional show. I truly wish you happiness, love and joy in life. I hope you enjoy the show. I hope you get everything you want out of it. For me, that would be seeing all the characters in a good place and loving each other the way that Susanna I would want them to. I just think this show is more enjoyable when you truly see each character, accept them and choose to see their flaws, see their qualities and root for them to find their own happiness. This is not a show that should be bringing about so much anger. It is a show that should make people grateful to be alive and grateful for the people in their lives.

Conrad isn't a bad boy! he's a teenage boy who's depressed. If you ever read the books you would know by the 3rd book he has really worked on himself and becomes the best choice for her. I just hate when ppl villanise young men with mental health issues. Hope Jenny keeps it true to the books as she has done thus far.

Stop with the " read the books" cause in the books Conrad didn't even have the panic attacks, Jenny changed the whole narrative about Conrad in the show because she knew that book Conrad would never stand a chance in winning the audience in 2023. He was mean, never wanted a public relationship with belly, always yelling or yoyoing her. Jeremiah in the books knew from the beginning about Susannah's cancer and never once he was mean with belly, he always stood up for Conrad and his bad behavior in the First two books. I re-read them those past few weeks and seriously, yall Conrad's stans need to stop because Jenny literally needed to change Conrad's personality and gave him panic attacks to justify the way he's so angry and mean even before the death of Susannah. In book 3 Jenny decided which One of the ship She wanted to be endgame so She destroyed Jeremiah and made Conrad all of the sudden this Angel. And that is the strange part, that It happened suddenly. I personally don't wanna fall in love with potential, the " maybe he will". I wanna fall in love with a person who challenge me in the best way and that's Jeremiah :) but that's my opinion.

I think it's because the chemistry for Belly and Jeremiah show so much more on screen than in the books. Also, Belly actually chose to be with Jeremiah at the end of this season which she didn't do in the book which was a big step for team Jelly fans. I understand that Conrad was hurting but he had Belly to fall back on which he didn't do but Jeremiah was hurting too and he had no one to fall back on.

He is a lying, scheming, manipulative, piece of work. He is the main reason Belly & Conrad are in this awful place. Now, that he has Belly exactly where he wants her (i.e., with him)… now, he is trying to look like the good guy. Jeremiah didn’t even wait for one of them to leave the motel room… to be sure they finished talking… before he barged into the room… he is still so worried they will get back together… he is sooooo insecure.

@@m.k.8666 I disagree. Season 2 has seen Jeremiah grow from that person who ruined the kiss at the dock to someone who was willing to step back and let Belly decide who she really wants to be with. The scene with Conrad outside their motel room in Episode 8 shows his maturity and willingness to sacrifice his own happiness for the sake of his brother and Belly's own happiness. This is a very admirable trait. Not many parents teach this to our children nowadays.

And this is exactly why I don't wanna watch season 2. I just NEVER liked Conrad and adored Jeremiah. I'm foaming at the mouth to watch season 2 but I refuse to watch see belly and Jeremiah together knowing they won't be endgame whenever season 3 rolls around.

exactly, I’m hoping its Jere and belly change the endgame. Something i’ve observed from each couple was that Her and conrad only have a physical attraction torwards each other & not that bond where you could open up easily. OMG YES. This is exactly how i think and YES that scene of them with the flat tire that they argue is amazing, I tried to ship Conrad and Belly but im just not having their story, its just so empty, so full of nothing. Then there is Belly and Jeremiah and i don’t know what it is about them together, feels so genuine, their chemistry is very strong, very natural. Everything with Belly and Conrad feels forced to me. I like Jelly way better. But sadly, i don’t think Jenny is going to change this ending wich is very frustrating because their story is way cooler than a “meant to be” nonsense.

You think Jeremiah allows Belly to be vulnerable and express her innermost thoughts? What is wrong with you people? Belly’s mission this season after she fights with Jeremiah on the side of the road, has been to fix her mistake of choosing Conrad over Jeremiah, last summer. She thinks she should have chosen Jeremiah…. because Jeremiah, himself, successfully convinces her, with his manipulative words, that she was dumb to have chosen Conrad in the first place… because it was inevitable that Conrad was going to dump her. Belly feels so low about herself at the moment, thinks everyone hates her except Jeremiah, wants so badly for someone to like her, so she does everything she can, to get Jeremiah to like her back. Jere further manipulates Belly to beg him to take her back…. because he wants her to work for it… punishment for not having chosen him last summer…. he is so cleverly scheming and vindictive. Then, anytime Belly tries to share her opinion, and Jeremiah doesn’t like it, he frowns, and Belly changes her answer, just to please him. So, no, Belly and Jeremiah do not have healthy & honest communication. Belly is walking on eggshells around Jeremiah, trying to please him, saying what he wants to hear, even if she has to lie about what she is really thinking. Also, Jeremiah is still very well aware, that Belly & Conrad still love each other…Jeremiah admits this himself, in the episode he narrates, when he states that they have this invisible force between them… which makes Jeremiah insecure & extremely jealous. But, even knowing, full well, that they still care for each other deeply, doesn’t stop him from scheming to keep them apart. He doesn’t care about how much Belly & Conrad still love each other, Jeremiah just wants to get what he wants.. and that is Belly. So, Jeremiah is constantly lurking in the background, secretly listening-in to private conversations…. so he has more information than anyone else, and then deviously uses this information to his advantage. He, is also, always interrupting any intimate or meaningful conversations that Belly & Conrad have, because he is so worried they might resolve their issues and get back together. He is playing them so dirty… trying to control everything… so he can get his prize. There is absolutely nothing healthy & honest about Jeremiah and Belly’s relationship…. theirs is a very toxic union…. and this is why it will never work.

It’s really not! I have been trying so hard to see what you team Jeremiah stans are claiming about their undeniable chemistry…and, I just can’t. Are you guys only looking at their physical appearance? Then, yeah, they make a cute-ish couple… I guess. But, as far as I’m concerned, for a couple to have amazing chemistry, their connection has to be more than physical. The connection must be profound on all levels…. and they should challenge each other body, mind, and soul… otherwise, one of them will get bored and loose interest. If we look closely…. we will see that Belly is a deep, intense, and complex girl… and Jeremiah is a rather superficial character. What’s on the outside (ex: being physically attractive) seems to be very important to Jeremiah. Jeremiah says it himself in the episode he narrates…. that the way he looked at Belly changed completely, the summer she came back all grown up and pretty. Before that moment, he only saw her as a family friend. The intellectual connection between Belly and Jere doesn’t seem to be there at all…. and the only major thing that appears to bind them, besides being attractive, is their history (i.e., they have known each other forever). Sorry team Jeremiahs, but two people that are both physically attractive… is not enough to make great chemistry.
