The boys are nervous. They took a big risk. The movie itself is a masterpiece; but it's not a people pleaser in any way, it challenges power, and as Big Media becomes an industrial monopoly, we can expect more 'blockbuster fast-food' and less of the 'finer things in life'. That's what indy is for.

Exactly, the comments like to point at superhero movies as to why it failed at the box office. But this people pleaser media used to be in the shape of a heist, western, thrillers, and fictional biopics. I couldn't agree more as to the job indies have to be less of a crowd pleaser film.

How ignorant and pridefull he is towards fighting jacques while thinking of his wife as his own and not really thinking of his wife and kid. But I would not say women have not come very far within the past 700 years😂😂. I am sorry but thats just a joke. I loved it, but I think the cinematography missed a trick by shooting this movie in a muted color through out. How cool would it have been if the three parts had different color tones? For example if Act I was washed out, Act II was vibrant, Act III in natural lighting. It would underscore Damon as the oaf, Driver as the charmer, and Comer as the clear eyed.

The film is a Masterpiece , I believe the reason why this film wasn't a success at the box office was because of its subject matter , but if you've seen the film it's so much more than that , the last duel was also up against other big tentpole films like Venom let their be carnage , Halloween kills , No time to die at the box office and audiences picked what they were familiar with even if those films are terrible , I Also think age demographics had a role to play with the box office , younger audiences are seeing films at the cinema where as older audiences are still hesitant because of covid , I hope that with time the last duel becomes a cult classic because it really is great

It's a viewpoint of the 1300's through the lens of a woke feminist in 2021, no wonder it bombed
