Why wouldn’t he be in shape? He’s KZfaq channel is called the cycling GK and he does football challenges. Also he only retired mid September, so he’s only been out for 6 months. 🤦‍♂️

Great move by Foster, He still has it as a goal keeper and will bring a lot to the table for Wrexham. Not just his goal keeping abilities - and he still looks good for a retiree of his age, but also his premiership mentality and experience, his relegation and promotion battles and his all round character, his dressing room banter and the fact he will law down the law if requires. BUT it’s also a blinding move for his social media and presenting career - getting featured on the “Welcome to Wrexham” TV series will bring a lot of eyeballs to him worldwide and no doubt boost his profile significantly! You sir - have played a blinder 🫡👏👏👏👏

Notts County fan. But also a Ben Foster fan. He was loaned to Wrexham as a youngster. Huge signing for Wrexham. He (arguably) could be going the Tom Heaton, Fraser Foster route and be 2nd or 3rd stringer behind a PL keeper and rarely playing, or waiting til someone gets hurt, but he has a family, a successful KZfaq career... I get why he didn't go that route. Great field general. Will keep Wrex's troops in line, and is a great dressing room guy down the stretch. He's been in promotion battles with Watford, and knows exactly what mentality is needed. As I said, Pies fan... but I hope we both go up lads.

He probably loves to be apart of the project. Newcastle probably would've been like here you go, Sit on the bench and just don't whine. With wrexham he feels like he's apart of the team and loves to get involved.

I think he really did want to retire but just felt like “what the hell I can still do this”. I mean after being 9 months away from playing and basically being a gk his entire life there is a good chance he felt nostalgic.

@Huyoo99 man I'm irish so can honestly say irish league is crap I mean shamrock rovers drew with Gent who are now quarter finalists in the europa conference league and 4th in belgium would say its on par. I'm juts saying watching the game he's reaction times ⏲️ are so much quicker even throwing the ball out from defence its like he's used to playing at a much higher pace you can see and even when players got one on one they seemed to panic on goal and the guy hasn't played for over a year.

Yep, feel bad for Howard. I completely get it at a club level - headlines, press, near guaranteed promotion - but Howard may have thought it could be his time to step up and bring the club home to League 2. But there's no competing against Foster at this level
