In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

As a person who blushes a lot I kept thinking they need to make him laugh if embarrassment isn’t working. He didn’t blush out of embarrassment when he got nuzzled, it’s because he was laughing

I think he only was not embarrassed about what *others* did, only discomfited (if you can say that?). When the woman made him think of three breasts, he was embarrassed by 1) liking the thought 2) seeing it so vividly 3) already blushing, so he blushed more.

It’s interesting they tried to embarrass him to make him blush. I wouldn’t of even thought of that, when I hear blushing I think romance. I would of tried sweet talking him and complimenting him.

One thing that most participants seemed to miss is that embarrassment is not the only way to make someone blush. I believe that being flirtatious or giving compliments can be another approach to achieving this. Many of us humans struggle with accepting compliments, so I think it would be a more effective way to make someone blush.

You rarely blush from someone getting too close, when you are not sexually attracted to them at all. So all the uncomfortable advances had little chance of success. If a gender he was attracted to had made advances and it made him imagine more, that might have made him blush. Making him imagine something that he would like, but that he felt a bit ashamed and surprised, though also amused, by thinking of, is a far better way, so the "would you fancy three breasts" option was good - also better than just stripping or making advances. It's his own thoughts that make him blush.

I don't recall him pretending not to know English. There were times when contestants' Swedish was so bad he couldn't figure out what they were trying to say. And he probably was instructed to speak exclusively Swedish; but that is not the same as pretending not to understand English.

Of course he was not allowed to speak English in those tasks, in S2 the task is Have a conversation with a Swedish person, the contestants need to figure out what he said and pull out informations about him, and in S13 Have a Conversation IN Swedish.
