I'm a hard core DIY guy. I'm building my own garage / studio / man cave. I have wood framing experience and HVAC new construction experience. How hard can it be? Here's one thing I ran into and had to improvise. Here's how I bent the electrical conduit I needed for the power.
Torch used in the video → amzn.to/2Gl8lY4
Pipe Bender (obviously more handy for pipe and tube bending) → amzn.to/2Gl0km8
Spray bottle → amzn.to/2IHH6MR
This is my top 5 favorite tools I'm using in videos right now!
Impact gun → amzn.to/2HKaTVe
ratchet → amzn.to/2JFPKrZ
Prybar → amzn.to/2reelNS
Wrenches → amzn.to/2JFQXj1
Utility knife → amzn.to/2Kt04Vi

Also put in a regular smaller conduit next to your big one, so that you can run either phone or data cabling through as well, without having to use a cable that is rated to run with power in the same run. You just use a cheap regular CAT6 cable instead, and pull in 2 at the same time for a redundant connection, allowing you to have Internet ( reliable wired connection that does not fade out in rain or snow) and a wired phone in the garage shop area. You can put up a wireless extender there for the data on the phone, and not have poor spots all over the place.

Oh the memories. Your doing it right Brian. It's going to be a fine shop/man cave when your done. Not that you need any advise but one thing I did was to install a drain in one area of the floor for washing cars or equipment. It's great for the winter time.

We bend this a lot at work and time is critical so we use a weed burner and "roll" the conduit to keep it round until it cools. 30 seconds for a bend like that.

Good idea for making smoother transition bends with fire. You can also rent an electric hot box that's meant for heating & bending PVC pipe or just build a hot box with a heat gun as your source of heat.

Your laying two inch pipe? Your wife must be thrilled. Hayoh!!!! That is a cool idea. I guess you could even warm up the die first too, but that's just a thought. Good stuff.

You can also place the pipe on a flat surface roll it as you heat it and after it gets soft enough shape it into any angle you need.

To thread conduit put a plastic fitting on the front end so it will go wire ,fitting ,epoxy glass marble to the other side of plastic fitting! When it comes to a lip the marble will jump the "curb"

the longer piece of rebar, does that bond to any other pieces of rebar creating a ufer or CCE? if it's just a piece of rebar in concrete, even metal twist tied to other pieces of rebar then it's not going to do much. need a #6 to meet NEC, good enough for house electrical, but not lightning. i'm going thru this right now, trying to ground a tower on solid rock.. it's no fun.

Obsessed House in Canada we use CEC vs NEC but provisions to section 10-812 allow us to use a #6CU for any service and XO for transformers.

@Obsessed house > I would have to hate rock to sink a ground into. But it’s copper plated steel. I have seen guys use electric jack hammers, take and old bit, then weld a length of heavy pipe, stand on a support ladder and drive them home. Just make sure to grind a point on your ground bar.

If you use a heat gun and do it for 5 minutes you will be able to bent it and keep the same round form
