I had fat transfer to my lower eyelid during SMAS lift. While in surgery the surgeon decided to put fat in my cheeks too. Don’t know if that’s why, but it doesn’t look good at all. The transition bw my lower eye area and and cheek is not smooth, has a “shelf” like appearance and my cheeks look like they have crabapples inserted! Are you all or do you know of oculoplastic surgeons who specialize in fat grafting revision? My surgery was in May if 2018.

Lucy I just saw your question and the answer is yes I have treated patients who have too much fat grafted and as pointed out in this video it can be a prblem for women who are premenopausal because the hormones can stimulate the fat graft to proliferate.
