A man who suffers from depression.. he isn't living, he is just breathing.. existing.. until one day he thought that the strange lump will kill him but no he was wrong because sometimes, the thing we thought that will ruin our lives is the one who will really give us a reason to start living and be happy.. unexpected things happen beautifully. But in the end the friendly lump died because its mission is already finished. Its mission is to open the mind of the man and open his eyes and his heart that it's still possible to start over again and be happy that's why he draw eyes to make it a smiley face because that's when he realized the true meaning of life that no matter what, you should look for your own happiness and keep going

At first we may see it dangerous and want to cut them out of our lives, but then, when we compliment and enjoy each other's company,we wany to keep and create memories with them . What a truly heart wrenching moment. For me, the little growth seemed like an allegory for an unwanted child. At first he wanted to get rid of it, but later accepted, and came to love it. Caring for it brought meaning to the man's life, and made him try harder to keep a good house. Having that light ripped away, it's a horrible thing.

Ahora tengo otra perspectiva, y es que este señor al principio de vídeo se encuentra con una depresión moderada. Más adelante podemos ver qué aparecen síntomas de una psicosis: alucinaciones y probablemente delirio. Estos son rasgos típicos de una depresión mayor o severa. El señor no se curo aún...necesita psicoterapia y un tratamiento para su depresión.

This short film was full of symbolism. It featured a depiction of the inner child , who lived with the man for one year. Although the audience experienced that year with him, the inner child was always present within him. Just like the two eyes painted underneath, representing his childishness. The birthday cake and its childish shape vividly reflected the presence of the inner child. The message of the work is undoubtedly that we should befriend and embrace our inner child in order to find happiness and enjoy life and music.

the film is a metaphor for losing a child - the child is part of you, kind of like a growth, and if it dies the scar will always be on you, but you have to move on and remember the good memories so you can heal. in the end he accepts his child's death by making a smiley face out of the scar.

There’s no wrong way to understand or perceive future shorts videos. That is what I really love about their channel. I’ve seen different interpretations of this. Some people see it as a story about depression or relationships. For me, this video symbolizes LONELINESS. The man was very lonely and bored and spent all his days in his home, day after day. He was depressed, empty and desperately needed someone... Anyone. So he became so mentally ill that he started to make up his own imaginary “friend” out of his little pimple. It even had emotions, expressions, character and personality so it seemed like it was a real person. His life finally started. He was happy about something that wasn’t real. He started to trick himself into believing that he had a friend that he didn’t have. He even took his time to decorate his entire house and celebrated a birthday party for his “friend”. His entire world changed. The last part especially hurt me. When he lost his little bulb, he was broken but, not because he lost a loved one, but because he was lonely again. Because he could become happy very easily again, just by simply drawing a new face on his armpit. He wasn’t lonely anymore but he still had no love and his imagination was the only answer to his made up happiness. I can imagine him walking around with his NEW imaginary friend in his imaginary world for the rest of his life because This man just needed someone. anyone. I love that even though we all watch the exact same video, we all look at it in different ways. Very good job Future shorts👏❤️
