It is so hopeful to see such a sensitive warm couple able to discover their happiness as gay men early in life. As a 62 year old gay man, I remained closeted until age 23 growing up with so much fear of being discovered as different from all my friends and family. It was mentally damaging & sadly affected my career goals. Live happiness every day as it is precious.

But last week, I met someone who completely amazed me in how honestly nice he is and how much he likes me. He has a boyfriend, but I will keep looking for someone else. And no worries, you will definitely find someone, you have a lovely future ahead of you :)

similar feeling here im only 20 years old but i live in the middle east and i know that i will be forced to stay closeted until i can afford to move out (at least five years from now) and even after that I'm not sure where I'll be able to go and what I'll have to do watching young gay people living their lives is a way for me to feel like im compensating for the things im missing (and going to miss) in my own life

Omggg sorry just realised you wanted my recommendation! My bad! I'll list the three "friteries" I prefer in Brussels! First the "Frituur Vandermeulen". The first one I went to, so sentimental. Prices are ok, sauces are delicious and the chips are well prepared. Second is "Frit Flagey". A bit more affordable and the fries are also very good. Plus: it's next to a park with big ponds, very beautiful. Third is "Maison Antoine", with normal-priced fries. A plus is that they also sell many other things such as burgers etc. but still keeps the "baraque" vibe iykwim. They salt generously, which is or isn't a good thing depending on the person. PLEASE don't buy chips in the very centre with the tourists unless you're sure of the quality. Don't!!! Buy cheese sauce in Brussels, they're awful at it!! If you want the cheese sauce of your life go in the south of the country, in the South of the province Luxembourg. Look for the "Fromage d'Orval" (type of cheese sauce, the best imo).

woah, a college roommate finder app is such a cool concept. my college offers something similar but not to the same extent; with profiles and stuff. anecdotally, my sister and her husband lived together for a while, so they also didn't do the whole 'living together phase' that other people do. it's really interesting to think about how much it can impact a relationship

I'm an old guy 62 to be exact and coming out gay was not an option for me when I was young. I love how everything has progressed to the point that being gay and loving a same sex partner is normal. You two remind me of my husband and I, who are also hortisexuals. We immigrated to San Francisco 1982, from the old south, when our parents found out my husband and I were more than just "college roommates". While in San Francisco, were active in the cactus and succulent societies all over California and when we bought a house, maintained a greenhouse with a large collection of plants and yes, Benji, I also maintained a choice collection of Anthuriums. We lived in San Francisco for 33 years and are now retired back in the south, now that the coast was clear and our families got used to the idea we were a happy couple. We are now 45 years together and still maintain a large collection of plants.
