Additional grips are sold separately. The T3x synthetic stock also has an additional attachment point which allows you to change the width of the stock’s fore-end.
A grip that never slips. The T3x synthetic stock has a new asymmetrical grip pattern and shape that has been specifically designed to give a solid grip in all conditions.
T3x models come with a new recoil pad technology that reduces the impact of recoil on the shooter. The new robust pad allows you to fully concentrate on the accuracy of your shots. The new T3x receiver introduces a widened angular ejection port that makes it easier to feed one cartridge at a time.

Definitely. Here in EU the Bergara retails 900 to 1000 euro less then the UPR. But I doubt that the slight benefits (if there really are any) of the UPR are worth the difference.

About a year before Tikka released the UPR, I sent an e-mail to Sako (Sako's headquarter in Finland becouse I'm from Finland too). I suggested that they should make a rifle that is priced between T3x CTR and Tac A1. I said that stock is the weakness in basic T3x Tikka rifles and many shooters replaces it at some point. I used Beragar B14 HMR as an example of a rifle that has reasonable price, guite good stock and is popular. I suggested that the new rifle could have similar stock like the one in Sako carbon wolf but from cheaper materials and it should be based on T3x CTR. They promised to pass on my idea to design team. Almos one year later they released the UPR. So, I've been telling my friends that I designed the UPR😂

This is a great video, my mate and I were comparing these exact rifles to each other, we found my HMR to be just slightly more accurate but barely. For me it just came down to little things like stock, price and magazines on the berg. But they are very similar rifles and it’s great to see these companies producing such high quality rifles for a affordable price.

Tikka’s ultimate LR precision rifle is actually the Tikka TAC A1. One in 260 Rem out of the box in 260 Rem took the UK record for a factory rifle at 600m (664yds) with a 2.7inch group. Most accurate factory rifle I’ve seen was a TAC A1 in 6.5 CM with a 100yd group of 0.18 inches. That’s bench rest territory!

I bought a Tac A1 about 3 yrs ago, love it. LIked it enough that I got a bug to buy another Tikka last year, wanted it for hunting. Couldn't talk myself into the UPR or the CTR or the Varmint. I'd like to put the two stage trigger into any of them if I could. The T3X works great as is, but, as I've got a bug to "improve" it, I bought a B&C stock for it, haven't shot it yet to see if there is any improvement. I'm now trying to talk myself out of putting a heavier 20" fluted bbl on it, and I'm scared to ask Stoeger what they want for the two stage trigger, if they sell one aftermarket. I have a feeling my pocketbook is going to lose on this one.

hi North49, thanks yeah all our guns have been bought by the channel. why i see there's the obvious perception that someone is or can be biased when the product is provided to be reviewed. here how i usually do that, If a prodcut is provided to me firstly the company can not pay me for a review, I accept the product to be reviewed but if its terrible to the point that its not going to be a decent recommendation I let the company know and nothing gets published with that product. Keep in mind before I accept any product from any company I do my research first to ensure it will probably be a good product, keep in mind when I do these reviews my time is still worth more than the product and id prefer not wasting a minute of it. so as I was saying companies will get an unbiased review or nothing at all, that's the condition. and so far none have raised that as an issue. the second concern (that i assume most people have and that i had) is that the companies will cherry pick the product to make sure its the best of the lots or better than the ones being sold to clients..... nope! i've had companies send me full on broken products. thanks for the feedback, and I do try to keep my videos as transparent as possible and with as much proof to support my opinions thus leaving the least amount possible to hearsay.

hi Jose, I have no experience with the Mauser, Steyr and the CZ (557?) regarding the howa, they are supposedly quite accurate, and supposedly have smooth actions, mine had neither , the action wasn't very smooth, and it had a tendency to bind and other feeding issues. I am planning on getting the CZ 557 MTR varmint in .308 soon, so we will see about that, so far my best recommendations are still the Tikka UPR or Tikka T3x Varmint and you throw it in a Chassis. thanks for watching!

Great review! Both are excellent rifles with their own particular pluses and minuses. As you said, the Tikka might be better suited for hunting while the Bergara might be better suited for PRC, but they cross-over. About the Tikka magazines...my understanding is that Tikka uses the same magazine case for all their chamberings because they use the same T3x action in those rifle models. The magazine's internal spacing is modified based on the particular rifle's chambering hence the proprietary availability and premium price tag. I can't say that I appreciate that. Given the price difference and magazine availability and price, I think I'd choose the Bergara even though I'd prefer the 70-degree bolt throw of the Tikka.

Should consider adding the CTR to your options, and have $400 / 800 to put into the chassis / stock of your choice. That being said I have a TAC A1, and it is probably the best factory rifle ive ever shot. However, i only paid 1250 for it new, and at 1800 I find it less worth it, depending on what you are using it for. Its a solid chassis, but wouldn't be my first choice for the extra ~$800 vs the CTR. I also have a CTR and it shoots identically to the TAC A1(it is the same rifle with a single stage trigger essentially), but the stock it comes with is garbage and a replacement needs to be budgeted for imo.

Depends if for hunting or just sport shooting. The Tac A1 is 5kg baseline, UPR 3,3kg I think. Bergara HMR in between. So the Tac A1 is quiet a bit heavier, which can matter when carrying it for hunting.

Work on a better Load to shoot with the HMR, that looks like minimal load work at best. The Bergara HMR really is a bench gun that can put in some impressive groups. I dont know how it shot that bad, but that was bad. What was the bullet and load for that? You should post that. For both rifles! Its good to have all of the info, not just the pics. . But still, the Bergera is a underdog in the world of guns. But really well built rifles, I have two, 7 rem mag, and 308 hmr, both have smooth actions, great barrels and much better accuracy than what you just put up. The load you where hitting the steel with was the load that shot that crap on paper? Something changed from the paper to the steel.

nope its a UPR, it can depend what the imorters order them as Tikka does a lot of "Variations" for example canadian t3x's are almost exclusively stailness, and depending on the retailer they come with factory muzzle breaks. also some UPR's have a set trigger, this one does not.

@@adamelam6385I have 2 Tikkas and a Bergara HMR just like the one he has, but I’m 6.5PRC. It is definitely among my favorite rifles. My HMR shoots 143gr ELDXs just over 1/4 MOA. Where my 6.5CM Tikka shoots a respectable .75MOA and Tikka 30-06 shoots closer to 1MOA. Tikkas are fine guns, but the plastic ones (my 30-06 has wood chassis) feel like cheap Tupperware. The moment this guy said they have a better stock than the Bergara, was the moment I knew he was a tikka fan boy. I don’t know if his HMR barrel didn’t like the bullet he was using or if the guy who owned it before him shot out the barrel, but those groups were atrocious for any Bergara barrel. He said the Bergara doesn’t come with a rail, which is false, it comes with a 20MOA rail, out of the box. Spoke to Bergara US the other morning. Here’s what I learned. Bergara claims “Remington pattern ” with their B14 series rifles. That applies only to the receiver . If you want to make changes, such as bottom metal, you can’t. Everything other than the receiver is proprietary to Bergara! If you have other rifles that use a certain magazine, and you want to convert your B14, you can’t! You’re stuck with different mags for the same round but different rifles. AICS pattern magazines is about the design, not the size. One might expect 300 Win Mag in an HMR, remember it's a match rifle, to have the longest magazine possible., 3.850. You would be wrong! You have to go to 300 PRC for the 3.850”. Sure what Bergara uses works. But it won’t contain those really long 300s. The HMR 300 Win Mag magazine measures approx. 3.53” inside. Why they spend money making two different bottom metals and magazines in a 300 class round, when they only need one, would seem to be a waste of company money. It seems Bergara is putting the screws their customers. If you paid extra money for the Wilderness version, you may feel ripped off if you bought a magnum HMR. And no. Bergara will not sell you a replacement bottom metal. Someday they plan to. Doesn’t that make you feel all warm and fuzzy. I hope this helps clear up any confusion. If a long magazine is important to you, a few of Bergara competitors have rifles in they price class that have the big magazines.

If I had to carry one of these all day i know which one I would prefer. BTW if you bother to take the time and look at the ballistics between a bullet doing 70fps slower than faster even at 1000 you would not be able to call or judge the difference without the use of an app. The difference is negligible. If it is an issue then forget the 20" and jump on the 24" version with 20MOA rail

You must have got a Limon with the B14. I've had 3 Bergara's and even my 308 and 3006 woodsman shoot way better than that one. My 6.5 HMR average across all groups totel is always just below or just above 1/2" moa. If I could slow my shots all the time ND barrel the same temperature would and does do better than that. That's why the HMR Pro with Stainless Steel Barrel is more suited for some and definitely would have been a better comparison for this video. Also you havent addressed concerns about the b14 bolt. Granted you may not have encountered any but its still a known proplem. You are right about the weight. I picked up a b14 and thought there is no way I going to drag this through the woods and the extra weight is not needed for 6.5 recoil, weight, right, forgot the 2 pound scope. How about a $1500 gun vs a $1500 gun. The b14 is touted as the bang for buck offering but there is more out there than tika.
