As promised, here is a video about the gear I use to document life in Covid-19 lockdown. I use mainly the Fujifilm X100V and the X-Pro3 with the XF35mm F1.4
The video is a bit improvised and quickly put together but it's all I have time for at the moment. In the next video I'll talk a bit more about the non-technical things.

Thanks. Your comments are relaxing in these difficult days. I'm with the X100f and Xt-2, but following right along and am encouraged to document my days. Keep the videos coming. Don

THANK YOU for clarifying about CLARITY option slowing down the camera. I couldn't understand why it was happening and was about to give up hope. What an important part of information!

I wished I would have these cameras when I lived in Belgium outside Liege! I had the original X100 way back. I’m ordering the X100V soon. I also have the XT2 with a few lens. Nice video Bert, and stay safe!

Great video. It would be nice to see a video about Your postprocessing on lightroom mobile. I remember Your postprocessing videos from old days, and they were really good. Stay safe and keep up good job.

Great content thank you. I ordered my x100v yesterday, can’t wait to get it. Likewise opted for black to be a little more inconspicuous. Thank you 🙏

Thanks, great video! About buttons, did you assign more then the front button or are they on "standard"?
@bertstephani

Most are standard but I've assigned the ND-filter to engage when I push the back dial.

Hello Bert, thank you for your video. I just bought my first digital camera (X100V) and bought the Haoge LH-X51W lens hood, which is very compact, and i saw that you are using the Squarehood. It looks very good but is a bit more bulky and takes some fiddling with the tiny screwdriver to remove and put back on (which could be useful/necessary when using the built-in flash or a polarizing filter). My question is : does the Squarehood offer image quality- or any other advantages over other lenshoods ? Thank you for your comments and stay healthy.

Hard to say without being able to compare different hoods directly. And when I don’t have anything useful to say, I better just shut up ;-)

Great information and presentation. Have you experienced any overheating or feeling that the x100v was hot while using?

I've had it for a few weeks now and I have not once noticed any warmth from the camera. I have only been shooting stills, but im not sure why anyone would think of the x100v as a video camera, and the weather has still been on the chillyish side

Bert, thanks for sharing. Question on setting the color space. Does this only effect the JPEG or the RAW as well?
@winchman
@winchman 3 жыл бұрын
RAW will never be touched by any color settings at all - regardless of what camera is concerned.

Hey you use the same setup I use all the time, but my V is silver and sexier. lol Bert are you using the filter ring adapter with a filter on your squarehood? If so any issues? I have one on order but its going to take a bit to get to the states. Thank you
@bertstephani

Thx! I don’t have the filter ring adapter. Never had any issues with the non-weathersealed previous version, so I’m confident it’s pretty safe.

Hi, hopefully I can get some feedback from you. I am actually thinking on getting an X100V plus an XPro3 too, but I find the setup kind of redundant (like the X100V being like a baby XPro3) so logically the XPro3 is more versatile due to being an interchangeable lens camera an all that, but their concept are very similar so I don't know if instead I should get an XT4 for the XPro3 or a small camera (like the XE3 or an XA7) instead of the X100V.

Hey @J Zayas- I have an XPro 3 and a X100 and they complement each other. If I want to go super light or just take a camera with me just in case the X100 is perfect. If I’m deliberately taking photos I can use the X100 for wide shots and the XPro for the standard 50mm look. Both stunning cameras!
